Since the outbreak of the COVID-19,it has had many impacts on the development of international Chinese language education.The number of international students studying abroad has decreased and it is difficult for Chinese teachers to communicate outside.Chinese language teaching has shifted from offline to online.Today,the global epidemic situation has greatly improved,and entering the post epidemic era,learning and life are gradually returning to the right track.However,the problems existing in online Chinese language teaching in the past three years still have enlightening significance for our future teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Oral English teaching is an important way to cultivate students’communicative competence in Chinese and to use Chinese for expression and thinking.The intermediate and advanced stages of oral English teaching are a very important stage in students’ Chinese learning,not only strengthening the content of the primary stage,but also allowing them to have a deeper understanding of Chinese language knowledge.Through the investigation and research of online intermediate and advanced oral English classes,it is found that there are currently problems in online oral English teaching,which is conducive to further improving the teaching level.In order to understand the real teaching situation of online intermediate and advanced oral English classes,the author recorded multiple online intermediate and advanced oral English classroom teaching videos,repeatedly watched them,and used the improved Flanders Interactive Analysis System to conduct objective and detailed classroom teaching data statistics.It also conducted detailed observation and analysis of the behavior of teachers and students,teaching content,and teaching methods in classroom teaching from various teaching links,and discovered the problems in multiple aspects of online intermediate and advanced oral English classes.The main problems with teachers are a single teaching language,low questioning rates,fewer open questions,insufficient emotional communication between teachers and students,and insufficient use of information technology.On the student side,there are problems such as weak initiative and lax self-management.The main problems in classroom teaching are the single form of activities and the lack of students’interaction;Incomplete teaching links;Insufficient supervision.In response to the above issues,this article proposes optimization paths from teachers,students,teaching links,and other aspects.Teachers should improve language quality,enrich teaching methods and activities,increase emotional communication between teachers and students,and enhance online teaching and management capabilities.Students should improve their ability of self-control,strengthen their awareness of autonomous learning,and actively participate in classroom interaction.In terms of teaching links,attention should be paid to the completeness of teaching links,the richness of teaching content and activities,and the diversification of practice forms.The author hopes that these improvement suggestions based on objective data statistics and careful observation can provide help for further improving the teaching effect of online oral English classes in the future. |
