The historical narration of contemporary writers is often full of the writer’s unique understanding of history and "Humanistic fantasy",the painful meditation on the problems behind history, and the reflection and criticism of the current reality.Behind this, there is the writer’s own unique view of creation and history.Wang Xiaobo’s historical novel Bronze Age is the creation of "Humanistic fantasy" with strong rational color, which conveys a neutral view of time and emphasizes the stagnation and retrogression of history while moving forward.Historical novels are an important achievement of Wang Xiaobo’s creation. In the bronze age,Wang Xiaobo extended his brush strokes to the distant Tang Dynasty, made history a shelter for his novels to express his feelings and satirize the world by juxtaposing historical stories with realistic stories, intended to observe the present through history, and completed the value pursuit core of highlighting the living state of individual life and free will in the novel,He made great efforts to explore the historical concept and novel art concept of historical novels, tried to achieve breakthrough and innovation, and established a new historical narrative mode to provide a reference path for the creation of current historical novels. The introduction of this paper states the research value and significance of Wang Xiaobo’s historical narrative of the Bronze Age,makes a simple literature review according to the theme of the paper, and summarizes the research objectives of this paper. The main part of the paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter discusses the generation of historical narration in the Bronze Age."Bronze Age" is an expansion and re compilation of Wang Xiaobo’s early work "stories of the Tang Dynasty".While absorbing nutrients from Chinese local historical novel resources,Wang Xiaobo draws lessons from and transforms the novel creation skills of western contemporary writers,so as to form a unique historical narrative style. The second chapter discusses the form pursuit of historical narration in the Bronze Age.In the Bronze Age,Wang Xiaobo mixes the ancients and the present with "harmony",which is an obvious synchronic space-time narration, which is an important embodiment of Wang Xiaobo’s pursuit of the form of historical narration. At the same time,he combined Chinese traditional historical biography with Western novel skills, and tried and innovated the skills of novel writing in his wild imagination. The third chapter discusses the "Tang Dynasty people" shape form and historical reconstruction of the Bronze Age.The shape form of "Tang Dynasty people" is not only an important embodiment of Wang Xiaobo’s reconstruction of history in his novels, but also an important representation and concrete embodiment carrier of Wang Xiaobo’s "new historicism" writing. In this paper, the creative image of "Tang Dynasty people" is an important window to open Wang Xiaobo’s creative view and historical view, and an important sample of the specific form of contemporary literary historical narration. The fourth chapter discusses the spiritual pursuit of the historical narrative of the Bronze Age.From the construction of the historical time and space of the Bronze Age,we can show Wang Xiaobo’s view of history and creation. The spiritual pursuit behind Wang Xiaobo’s historical narration also presents a relatively clear Wang Xiaobo model for the new historical writing of era literature.Of course, this spiritual pursuit is secret and undercurrent, but combing, summarizing and expounding it has important enlightening significance for a clearer and comprehensive understanding of Wang Xiaobo’s "game" on the surface and his pessimism and seriousness towards life and society. The conclusion part finds the contribution of Wang Xiaobo’s historical narration to contemporary historical novels and the reference significance of historical novel creation from the perspective of literary history.
