Research On The Influence Of Hidden Transformation Of Cultivated Land Utilization On Farmers’ Enthusiasm For Grain Planting In Henan Province

“The people do not eat unless they are in the valley,and the valley does not grow unless it is in the land.” Since 2004,China has achieved 19 consecutive harvests of grain output,and the food security situation has continued to improve.However,in recent years,the world has not seen a major change in a century,and the evolution has accelerated.Uncertainty factors such as the intensification of climate extremes,and continuous local wars and conflicts have sounded an alarm bell for the country’s food security.As a major agricultural province in China,Henan Province plays an important role in national food security.Farmers are the main force to ensure food security.Effectively improving farmers’ enthusiasm for grain cultivation,allowing them to reap benefits and have a productive future,can we continue to stabilize the good situation of grain production in China and firmly hold the rice bowls of 1.4 billion people in our hands,At the same time,with the deepening implementation of China’s strictest farmland protection system,achieving the strategic goal of ensuring food security and promoting farmers’ income growth,it is necessary to focus on the implicit transformation of farmland utilization under the given resource quantity.Therefore,exploring the relationship between the implicit transformation of farmland utilization and farmers’ enthusiasm for grain cultivation in Henan Province is of great significance.This article first conducts a descriptive analysis of the utilization of arable land and farmers’ enthusiasm for grain cultivation in Henan Province through relevant data since the reform and opening up.The data shows that the implicit transformation of arable land utilization in Henan Province has undergone significant changes in terms of quality,management methods,factor inputs,output capabilities,functions,and other aspects since1978.Moreover,there is great room for improvement in the enthusiasm of farmers for grain cultivation in Henan Province compared to the early stages of the reform and opening up;Then,Huaxian County,a super grain producing county in Henan Province,was selected for example analysis to explore the impact of implicit transformation of farmland utilization on farmers’ enthusiasm for grain cultivation.It was found that the negative growth of fertilizer investment,large-scale management,and efficient factor investment in farmland utilization in Huaxian County have a certain positive effect on farmers’ enthusiasm for grain cultivation;Then,in order to explore the specific path of implicit transformation of cultivated land use in Henan Province to promote farmers’ enthusiasm for grain growing,an empirical analysis was carried out using panel data from 2006 to 2021 in 17 cities under the jurisdiction of Henan Province.The results show that implicit transformation of cultivated land use in terms of soil quality,large-scale operation,per capita grain output,per capita labor capacity and economic contribution of cultivated land has a significant impact on farmers’ enthusiasm for grain growing;Finally,according to the current situation,examples and empirical analysis results of the hidden transformation of cultivated land utilization in Henan Province on farmers’ enthusiasm for grain planting,countermeasures and suggestions are put forward in three aspects: grasping the soil quality optimization project of cultivated land utilization,stabilizing the scale operation level of cultivated land utilization,and promoting the diversified development of cultivated land utilization functions,so as to improve the enthusiasm of farmers in Henan Province for grain planting.
