The report of the 19 th CPC National Congress pointed out that the coordination of the relationship between agriculture,rural areas and farmers is the focus of the current work of the whole Party and the comprehensive development of the rural revitalization strategy.The implementation of rural revitalization cannot be separated from the development of innovative industries and the process of promoting rural prosperity with the prosperity of industries.The meeting pointed out that focus on technological innovation and industrial scale effect to form a good competitive advantage,the development of training quality industrial agglomeration.As an important forming mode in the process of industrial development,industrial agglomeration has an impact on industrial innovation and economic development.Innovation in the process of industrial development is inseparable from the rational allocation and utilization of factor resources in the process of agglomeration.Industrial agglomeration can maximize the advantages of resources and knowledge spillover and help the industry to promote the output of innovation results.At present,literature on the impact of innovation on industrial development mainly focuses on the impact of innovation on high-tech industries.Many scholars ignore the impact of innovation on medium-low technology industries due to low technology intensity,immature technology paradigm and narrow innovation space.Therefore,it is of great significance to formulate more reasonable policy planning for the agglomeration and innovation effect of low and medium technology industries on economic development,and to promote the innovative development and economic transformation and upgrading of low and medium technology industries in rural areas.This paper mainly discusses the impact of industrial agglomeration on economic performance through innovation output in low and medium technology industries(manufacturing).By constructing a model with innovation output as the intermediary variable and taking the data of bamboo and wood processing industry as samples,this paper empirically examines the impact of innovation output on the economic performance of bamboo and wood processing industry.On the basis of literature research,this paper analyzes the influence mechanism of industrial agglomeration and innovation output on economic performance of bamboo and wood processing industry through relevant theories.Then measure the trend change of the three through the corresponding measure method.Then,based on the measure analysis results,the panel data related to bamboo and wood processing industry in 29 provinces and cities in China are selected to conduct an empirical study on the impact of industrial agglomeration and innovation output on economic development during1999-2014.Through establishing the mediating effect model,this paper analyzes the influence of agglomeration capacity of bamboo and wood processing industry on economic performance and the mediating role of innovation output in industrial agglomeration on economic performance.Finally,according to the research conclusions,put forward targeted policy recommendations.Based on the above theories and empirical research,the main conclusions are as follows: First,industrial agglomeration has a significant positive effect on the economic performance of bamboo and wood processing industry.In terms of indicators,the direct impact of specialized agglomeration on the economic performance of bamboo and wood processing industry is stronger than that of diversified agglomeration.Second,innovation output plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between industrial agglomeration and economic performance of bamboo and wood processing industry,that is,industrial agglomeration can have a significant indirect positive effect on industrial performance by promoting the growth of innovation output of bamboo and wood processing industry.Moreover,the indirect effect of innovation output on the economic performance of bamboo and wood processing industry is stronger than that of specialized agglomeration.Therefore,it is necessary to pay more attention to the innovation output of medium and low technology industries,optimize the agglomeration scale,and then promote economic development.This paper mainly has the following four aspects of innovation and significance: first,from the perspective of industrial agglomeration externality,the relationship between industrial agglomeration,innovation output and economic performance of bamboo and wood processing industry is discussed,which expands the research perspective of bamboo and wood processing industry.Secondly,the combination of exploring academic frontier and serving national policy formulation can not only deepen the understanding of the impact of industrial agglomeration on innovation output and economic performance in bamboo and wood processing industry,but also provide reference for formulating corresponding auxiliary policies for economic performance generated by innovation output in bamboo and wood processing industry agglomeration in China.Thirdly,under the background of the government vigorously promoting the large-scale development of industrial agglomeration,the discussion on forest product innovation of bamboo and wood processing products under the background of forestry structural reform is of certain help to improve the economic performance of bamboo and wood processing industry.Finally,it enriched the theoretical interpretation of the impact of innovation output on the economic performance of bamboo and wood processing industry in industrial agglomeration,and made up for the lack of current research on low and medium technology industry.
