| Feline panleukopenia is a severe infectious disease caused by feline panleukopenia virus.The virus is highly tolerant and transmissible to the external environment,and has a huge impact on the life and health of felines.The clinical manifestations of the disease are generally biphasic fever,persistent diarrhea,vomiting,dehydration,blood in the stool until death.Blood tests are characterized by severe leukopenia.It can cause miscarriage,stillbirth and other reproductive obstacles to female cats during pregnancy;the disease has a high infection rate and high mortality rate for kittens.In recent years,with the explosive development of the pet industry,cases of feline panleukopenia have increased along with the increase in the number of cats.The disease not only poses a serious threat to the life and health of felines,but also causes huge economic losses to pet cat breeders.At the same time,the Baishan area is adjacent to the Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve,and there is the possibility of mutual contact between domestic animals and wild animals,which increases the risk of disease for wild animals in Changbai Mountain.This study investigated the prevalence of pan-leukopenia in Baishan region,Jilin Province from 2017 to 2021,and the purpose is to understand the development law of pan-leukopenia in the region,to develop better prevention measures,and on the other hand,to assess the risk of wild cats in Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve..A total of 606 valid medical records of feline panleukopenia were collected by visiting26 animal clinics in 6 districts and counties in the Baishan area in this study.Combined with the economy,population and geographical environment of the Baishan area,statistics and analysis of the survey data are carried out.Case statistics were made from 9 dimensions: date,area,variety,gender,age(month),body weight,course of treatment,cure,and immunity.The study shows that 2019 is the peak year of feline panleukopenia in the Baishan area,and from 2020,it has been decreasing year by year.Autumn is the peak season of incidence.The infection rate was negatively correlated with the cat’s age,the individual onset time overlapped with the immunization period,and the cat’s nutritional status was negatively correlated with the morbidity rate.In the setting of interventional therapy,the mortality rate for infected cases with feline panleukopenia was 18.48%,with a 23% risk of death for unvaccinated cases and 23% for feline panleukopenia immunized cases The risk is only 5%.This study found that the distribution of feline panleukopenia in the Baishan area showed a decreasing trend from west to east.Combined with the human geography and economic conditions of Baishan area,It can be judged that the feline panleukopenia in the White Mountain area does not pose a threat to the wild cats in the Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve. |
