In the context of aging, the decline in physical function weakens the ability of the elderly to travel, resulting in higher requirements for the transportation system. However, the existing bus system has problems such as long walking distance to stations and low transfer convenience, which reduces the possibility of the elderly choosing to travel by bus.Microcirculation buses,as a supplement to conventional buses, have the advantages of flexible routes and high community coverage of stations. Therefore, planning microcirculation bus routes suitable for the elderly can help solve the problem of difficulty in public transport, guide public transport for the elderly, and further improve the level of community public transport services. This paper takes public transport for the elderly as the research object, and completes relevant theoretical and empirical research on microcirculation public transport using the progressive idea of "preference analysis-site mining-route planning." Bus travel preferences of the elderly were extracted and analyzed through bus passenger flow data.A station rationality calculation model based on extension matter elements was constructed to mine short-distance travel demand sites for the elderly.A method for microcirculation bus line layout to meet the short-distance travel needs of the elderly was proposed, and the feasibility of the method was tested through empirical research. The paper first conducted preference analysis by integrating and processing multi-source data of the elderly in Jinrong District,Cangshan District,Fuzhou, and analyzing their travel time and space in the community.POI data of the elderly’s track points were collected to extract their travel purpose and reveal their bus travel preferences in the Fuzhou community.Secondly, station mining was conducted by building an evaluation system for aging bus stations based on three core indicators and evaluating existing and potential stations in the research area. This method effectively extracted aging-friendly stations in the community.Thirdly,a two-level planning model with the lowest total cost and the largest number of direct passengers was constructed based on the excavation of existing stations to meet the needs of the elderly for shortdistance travel and to reduce the operating cost of bus lines. The genetic algorithm was used to solve the model, and the index of service level of the aging bus line was put forward to compare the schemes and obtain the final layout scheme. The line operation scheme was formulated from the perspective of the comfort of the elderly, and the planning method can improve the public transportation service level of the elderly in the community under the constraints of the station.Aging-appropriate microcirculation bus planning can aim at the travel preferences of the elderly in the community, excavate aging-appropriate bus stations, and formulate aging-appropriate microcirculation bus route schemes to meet the daily bus travel needs of the elderly in the community. The microcirculation bus route provides a planning idea with simple methods and strong applicability.
