Gear transmission is widely used in industrial fields such as processing and manufacturing,aerospace,shipbuilding,and rail transit.The accuracy and stability of its transmission directly affect the working performance of industrial equipment.With the continuous development of modern industrial technology,gear transmission is required to have characteristics such as high speed,high strength,and low noise.However,due to manufacturing errors,installation errors,lack of lubrication,and meshing interference during gear transmission,its application has significant limitations.The gear modification technology can effectively reduce the impact vibration of meshing in and out,and improve the smoothness of gear transmission.Therefore,this paper systematically studies the influence of gear modification on meshing stiffness and transmission characteristics of spur cylindrical gears.The main work is as follows:(1)The gear modification of straight cylindrical gears was carried out,and the meshing stiffness of the modified gears was calculated using analytical mechanics and finite element method,respectively.The two methods were compared and verified.The influence of tooth profile modification parameters and tooth alignment modification parameters on gear meshing stiffness is analyzed and studied.The gear modification effect is evaluated based on the meshing stiffness fluctuation factor and the root mean square of the meshing stiffness variation amplitude.(2)A nonlinear dynamic model of gears is established considering factors such as backlash,meshing damping,and time-varying meshing stiffness.After dimensionless transformation,the fourth order Runge-Kutta method is used to solve the gear system equations,obtain the dynamic characteristics of gears under non modification and different modification parameters,and analyze the effectiveness of gear modification and the impact of modification on gear dynamic characteristics.(3)Based on the uniform test,a reasonable selection of the uniform table is used to optimize the gear modification parameters,and the simulation analysis is carried out sequentially with the goal of minimizing the meshing stiffness fluctuation.By comparing the optimized results with the unmodified ones,it is proved that the optimized modification parameters can effectively improve the smoothness of gear transmission.Through the above research,the influence of parameter tooth profile modification amount,modification length,tooth direction modification amount,and tooth direction modification ratio on the meshing stiffness of spur cylindrical gears was obtained.Based on this,the correlation between gear dynamic behavior and modification parameters was studied,and the optimization of modification parameters was carried out using the uniform test method,which improved the smoothness of the system transmission.
