The traditional fast cargo transportation from Japan,South Korea and other countries to Europe mainly has two options: ocean transportation and air transportation. The rapid development of the China Railway Express network has attracted widespread attention from countries around the world, providing a new option for cargo transportation. However,in the case of various places competing to open the China Railway Express, how to choose the optimal transportation plan based of the China Railway Express network still needs to be studied. The plan must consider the transport demands of the cargo owners and the types of goods. The purpose of this paper has two,one is to find the best transport corridor from Japan-Korea to Europe by competitiveness analysis, the other is to solve the problem of optimization of the sea-rail intermodal transport network based on China Railway Express, which provides the cargo owners with a reliable model to choose reasonable transport plan.Firstly, this article investigated the trade situation from Japan-Korea to Europe, analyzed the present situation of each transport corridor. Then the qualitative and quantitative competitiveness analysis of the sea-rail intermodal transport corridor based on China Railway Express with other transport corridors has been studied.Secondly, optimize the sea-rail intermodal transport network based on China Railway Express.By describing the process of the sea-rail intermodal transport based on the China Railway Express, this artical analyzed the time, cost and reliability factors, which infect the choose of transport plan.Take the lowest total cost and the highest reliability as the dual goals,to build the double-objective 0-1 integer programming model. Finally, take three types fright transportation between Busan and Hamburg as example to prove the correction of the model and algorithm. This paper has determined that the sea-rail intermodal transport corridor based of the China Railway Express is the most competitive corridor. Then Network optimization within the corridor had been made.It has constructed a dual-objective optimization model with the lowest cost and the highest reliability to provide cargo owners with an optimal transport plan and analyze the reliability of the sea-rail intermodal transport network based on China Railway Express. It also considered the impact of infrastructure construction on the route selection, provided suggestions for the development of China’s ports and China Railway Express.
