In recent years,with the rapid development of the national economy and the continuous improvement of industrialization level,power users have put forward higher requirements for the reliability,stability,and security of medium voltage distribution networks,which promotes the development of intelligent distribution networks.A medium voltage distribution network has much terminal equipment,complex topology,and various fault conditions.To more comprehensively and in real.time monitor the operation information of the medium voltage distribution network and use the fault information for system protection,this dissertation applies the Internet of things technology to the medium voltage distribution network,and constructs the medium voltage distribution network fault monitoring system based on the Internet of things,which is expected to achieve fast and reliable fault monitoring.This dissertation introduces the application and research status of the key technologies of the Internet of things in the smart grid.According to the application background and development requirements of the fault monitoring of the medium voltage distribution grid,based on the centralized cloud computing architecture model,edge computing is added to effectively alleviate the problem of large data pressure on the cloud platform,and a three.tier cloud,edge,and end fault monitoring system of the medium voltage distribution grid based on the Internet of things is constructed.In the design of the fault monitoring system,the perception terminal adopts standardized access,the edge computing of fault monitoring adopts the method of fuzzy optimization to efficiently utilize the limited resources of the system,and the main station cloud platform uses big data technology to realize the evaluation and early warning of the operation status.In order to make the fault data between various parts of the designed medium voltage distribution network based on the Internet of things reliable interconnection,the overall communication scheme of the designed system is deeply studied.On the one hand,the design of a micropower wireless multi-hop ad hoc network is introduced,and on the other hand,the design of system communication architecture is completed in combination with the actual application.The experiment of the designed medium-voltage distribution network fault monitoring system is carried out in the 10KV distribution laboratory,and the feasibility and practicality verification of the system is completed.The experimental results show that the fault monitoring system based on the Internet of Things designed in this dissertation can realize the online monitoring of the operating parameters during the actual operation of the medium-voltage distribution network,and has superior distribution network status visualization and fault determination performanceand,the real-time,safety and stability of the fault monitoring system have been improved.
