Representation Of Destroyed Beijing City Wall Under Digital Technology

The Ancient City Wall of Beijing is the capital city wall of the Ming and Qing dynasties which are the last two dynasties in Chinese history.It records the historical imprint of Beijing and is an important part of the ancient city and an important carrier to convey the historical information of the city.For various reasons,most of the ancient walls have been demolished,destroying the overall pattern of the ancient city of Beijing and veiling the historical and cultural atmosphere of the core old city of Beijing.The principle and related policies of "repairing the old as it was" in the field of ancient architecture,as well as the existence of the Second Ring Road in Beijing,have all cut off the possibility of reconstruction of the ancient city wall in Beijing.Therefore,under the background of the continuous development of modern information technology,the concept of virtual display as the core point has gradually become a hot topic,and related technologies are widely applied in protection and restoration of ancient buildings.Beijing is the capital of China,and its ancient city wall,as an important part of the old city,is one of the important components of the urban pattern in the capital;its protection and restoration is of great significance to the integrity of Chinese ancient architecture.In the Book of Zhouli-Kaogongji,the significance of city walls to urban construction and urban planning was once noted,so the value of Beijing ancient city walls to the existing urban planning of Beijing is apparent.The restoration of the ancient city wall in Beijing help Beijing people understand the history of this city.The complete form of the ancient city wall can cause more Chinese people to increase the cultural confidence.However,the ancient city of Beijing has been greatly demolished in history due to various force majeure,and there are only some left near the Zhengyangmen Archery Tower,Deshengmen Archery Tower and Dongbimen.Therefore,based on the current application status of virtual reality technology,the virtual reproduction of Beijing ancient city wall is put forward.Based on the Digital technology that has entered the practical stage,this paper proposes the research method of using multi-dimensional virtual display to restore the ancient city wall of Beijing.VR,AR and 3D holographic projection technology are used to improve the bleak situation of the ancient city wall of Beijing in cultural significance and the reality of its gradually becoming a captive building under the Beijing road network.Using VR Digital technology to realize the reconstruction of the ancient city wall in Beijing in different periods,not only provides a special feeling of time travel,but also attracts people’s attention to the ancient city wall,thus strengthening the historical and cultural value of the Beijing ancient city wall;AR enhancement technology constructs the incomplete part of the ancient city wall,allowing people to experience the complete reproduction of the ancient city wall in mobile devices;at the same time,by using 3D holographic projection technology at night to make the night view city wall reproduction,with the projection of the architectural light show to add the cool beauty of modern technology to the ancient city wall construction,a flow fulcrum for Beijing moat park is created.The application of Digital technology complements the ecological beauty of the park and the cultural beauty of the city wall.This paper aims at the overall reproduction of the night scene of the city wall;under the guidance of Digital technology,takes the walls on Three Front Gates Axis as an example,and studies the feasibility of building Digital technology to reproduce the ancient city wall of Beijing.In the study,the relationship between the objective indicators such as the surrounding environment of the city wall and the evaluation and the current situation of the street is clarified to obtain the feasible city wall section,which is combined with the design of the city wall site park to refine the design indicators.Finally,the feasibility of the research method of ancient city wall reproduction based on Digital technology is confirmed,and the bright future of the inheritance of the ancient city wall is overlooked.
