Innovative Application Of Diamond Pattern In Chu Silk In Down Jacket Design

The diamond-shaped pattern is an important component and classic representative of the silk pattern of the Chu State,and it appears frequently and tenaciously in the silk of the Chu State.The varied shapes and unique forms of expression imply the celestial worship of the Chu people,highlight the silk weaving technology and wisdom of the Chu state during this period,and reflect the characteristics of the Chu people’s creation thinking that is not bound by the law.The related patterns based on the diamond pattern are also common in the decorative patterns of future generations,and the diamond pattern appears in all aspects of our lives in modern design,which shows its applicability and formal beauty,so the in-depth study of the diamond pattern with the characteristics of the southern region has theoretical and practical significance.The research of this project is based on the premise of theory,the purpose of application,and passed the test of practice.In the process of research,the literature research method,image analysis method,case analysis method and design practice method are mainly adopted.First,the in-depth study of the silk diamond pattern of Chu State is carried out,and the modeling characteristics and aesthetic significance of the pattern are summarized by combining the formation factors of the pattern.The second is to explore the characteristics of down jackets,and analyze the feasibility and value of applying Chu silk diamond pattern to the design of down jackets.The third is to summarize the application principles,digital pattern design and multiple process design methods of Chu silk diamond pattern in down jacket design,modernize the historical diamond pattern,and verify the plasticity of Chu silk diamond pattern with multi-series,multi-style,multi-process phased experiments and innovative application practices.Finally,the conclusion of this paper is drawn.Starting from inheritance and innovation,this project seeks to effectively combine the characteristics of Chu silk diamond patterns and down jacket designs to achieve the coexistence of cultural and commercial values.The pattern is applied to down jackets,providing new ideas for modern down jacket design,making down jackets a carrier of inheritance and innovation of traditional culture,guiding consumers’ sense of national identity,and achieving complementary effects.At the same time,it is hoped that through this article,the silk diamond pattern of Chu State will receive more attention,inject traditional elements and fresh blood into the design of modern down jackets,and provide a certain reference for future research and application.
