The blended yarn made of polyester and viscose fibers with different characteristics and colors combines the characteristics of firmness,wear resistance,moisture absorption,and breathability.The yarn has a full color and three-dimensional structure,and is widely used in the field of clothing.The fiber mixing effect and yarn forming performance are important indicators for evaluating the quality of blended yarn.The fibers in traditional polyester viscose blended yarn are only subjected to carding during the opening,cleaning,and carding processes.The quality of blended yarn is difficult to meet the processing requirements of high-end fabrics.Chemical fiber combing technology is an important means to improve the grade of chemical fiber products,but its research mainly focuses on the optimization of process parameters for chemical fiber combing pure spinning,the selection of combing special parts,and other fields,lacking relevant research on polyester viscose combing blended spinning technology.The uniformity of fiber mixing has an important impact on the appearance quality and tactile style of the yarn.Currently,the Hamilton index is mainly used to explore the internal and external transfer of fibers in blended yarns,which cannot quantify the fiber mixing effect in the radial and circumferential directions of the yarn.It is difficult to systematically evaluate the fiber mixing effect in the cross-section of blended yarns.In order to improve the fiber mixing effect and yarn quality of polyester viscose blended yarn,this project proposes the process routes of polyester viscose combed blended yarn(1)and polyester viscose combed blended yarn(2)based on the carding characteristics of the combing machine.A small curved surface polyester viscose combed specialized cylinder has been developed,and the polyester viscose combed process parameters have been reasonably selected to achieve low fiber drop control of polyester viscose combed yarn.Based on the fiber characteristics,the mathematical models of fiber radial distribution function,fiber radial mixing unevenness and circumferential mixing unevenness in the cross section of polyester viscose blended yarn were established.The above two combed polyester viscose blending processes and the traditional combed polyester viscose blending process are respectively used to spin polyester viscose blended yarns with 65/35,50/50 and 35/65 blending ratios.The radial distribution function and internal and external transfer of polyester and viscose fibers in the cross section of three polyester viscose blended yarns are analyzed,and the effects of combed process and drawing pass number on the radial and circumferential mixing unevenness of fibers in the cross section of polyester viscose blended yarns are discussed,We compared the combing and yarn quality of three polyester viscose blended spinning processes,providing theoretical and data support for the rational formulation of polyester viscose combing blended spinning process routes.The results show that:(1)The three polyester viscose blended yarns all exhibit a trend of transferring polyester fibers to the inside of the yarn and viscose fibers to the outside;However,the degree of inward transfer of polyester fibers and outward transfer of viscose fibers in polyester viscose combed blended yarn(1)is the greatest,making the yarn feel comfortable and delicate,and improving wear performance.(2)Compared with polyester viscose combed yarn,polyester viscose combed yarn(1 blend)and polyester viscose combed yarn(2 blend)have radial mixing unevenness decreases in the range of 12.49% to35.9% and 29.68% to 56.27% for polyester fibers,and radial mixing unevenness decreases in the range of 10.47% to 34.82% and 28.45% to 56.8% for viscose fibers.The polyester viscose combed process can significantly improve the radial mixing effect of polyester viscose blended yarn,Adding a drawing process after the polyester viscose combed spinning(1)process can significantly reduce the radial mixing unevenness of the fibers.(3)Compared with polyester viscose combed yarn,polyester viscose combed yarn(1 blend)and polyester viscose combed yarn(2 blend)have a decrease in the circumferential mixing unevenness of polyester fibers ranging from 21.83% to 39.44%,28.47% to 46.96%,and a decrease in the circumferential mixing unevenness of viscose fibers ranging from 19.73%to 40.38%,27.39% to 46.03%,respectively.The polyester viscose combed process can significantly improve the circumferential mixing effect of polyester viscose blended yarn,The radial mixing unevenness of polyester/viscose combed yarn(2 blends)is the lowest.(4)Compared with polyester/viscose combed sliver,the number of neps and impurities in polyester/viscose combed sliver and the short fiber ratio below 16 mm have significantly decreased,the CV value of the fiber sliver has decreased by about 5%,and the upper quartile length of the fiber sliver has increased by about 2.5%.Adding a drawing process after the polyester/viscose combed(1)process has a small improvement in the quality of the fiber sliver.(5)Compared with polyester/viscose combed yarn,the kilometre neps,number of coarse and fine knots,and hairiness index of polyester/viscose combed sliver have significantly decreased,the evenness CV value of blended yarn has decreased by about 5%,and the yarn breaking strength has increased by about 10%.The polyester/viscose combed yarn(2)process has had minimal improvement in the quality of polyester/viscose blended yarn.Based on comprehensive consideration,it is recommended to use the polyester viscose combed blended(1)process route..
