| Lightweight automobiles are the trend of globa l automobile development.High-strength steel plates produced by hot stamping te chnology have the advantages of light weight and high strength,hot stamping technology is an important and effective way to realize the lightweight of the car body at present.The cooling effect of the hot stamping die is direc tly related to the strength of the formed parts,the uniformity of performance and the production efficiency.Design of the cooling water channel is the top priority of the hot stamping die design.In the actual design,in order to meet the design requirements of the cooling water channel,the designer needs to artificially design the layout of each water channel,which is a great challenge for the designer’s experience and energy.According to the idea of modular design and the characteristics of hot stamping die,dividing the smallest unit of die design into different types of die inserts,different cooling water channels are quic kly designed according to different types of die inserts.The hot stamping die inserts are roughly divided into three types: hot stamping straight-through die inserts,variable-section concave die inserts and variable-section convex die inserts.In this paper,the layout design of the cooling channel hole,the conformal generation of the cooling channel reference line and the fitting opening of the cooling channel of different inserts are mainly researched according to the design method with the cooling channel of the hot stamping die.Determining the concave-convexity of the mold end face by identifying the rounded corner features of the mold insert,achieving rapid distribution design of channel holes on the end face according to the triangular channel hole arrangement method and the channel hole parameters,determining the types of the inserts by identifying the working surface trend of the mold insert s by making a ray from the center of the specific water channel hole.For different mold inserts,the arranged cooling water channel holes should correspond to the correct outlet surface,generating conformal cooling water channel lines by generating temporary water channel lines and dividing plane.Through the least squares method of line fitting and the flow loss condition of the elbow,judging whether the cooling water channel l ine needs to be fitted and segmented,using parametric design method modify interfering cooling channel reference lines,the cooling water channel is set up in the end,the rapid design and generation of the cooling water channel of different mold inserts realized.Since hot stamping dies are mostly designed with UG/NX,based on the UG/NX platform and vs2017 through secondary development and combining the above design ideas,a rapid design system for the cooling water channel of high-strength steel hot stamping die inserts has been developed,which i s effective improved design efficiency and quality. |
