As the social economy enters a stage of high-quality development, the ecological civilization strategy has been elevated to an important component of the national strategy. However, with the acceleration of urbanization, ecological problems such as unreasonable land expansion and water environment pollution still exist.Since the 20 th National Congress, the concept of promoting green development and promoting harmonious coexistence between humans and nature has become increasingly ingrained in people’s hearts. The Yangtze River to Huaihe River Diversion Project is another important national level water conservancy project after the Three Gorges and the South to North Water Diversion Project. It is a strategic water conservancy project that spans across Anhui and achieves cross basin resource allocation and utilization.Currently, the project is still in the construction stage and has not yet fully opened to water and navigation. Therefore,it is necessary to understand the ecological benefits of towns and streets along the Hefei section of the Yangtze River to Huaihe River Diversion Project and optimize and improve ecological benefits,Providing a research foundation for ecological issues related to the areas along the route after water and navigation is currently the focus of research. This study is based on 25 townships and streets along the Hefei section of the Yangtze River to Huaihe River Diversion Project, using multivariate data from 2020 for relevant research.Firstly, construct a single element evaluation index system, conduct single element evaluation, and then explore the spatial distribution characteristics and patterns of single elements through spatial autocorrelation;Secondly, based on the analysis of single factor evaluation,a weighted superposition of single factors is carried out to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of ecological benefits and spatial autocorrelation analysis of ecological benefits; On this basis, divide the production, living, and ecological spaces into three categories, explore the spatial distribution of ecological benefits in different spaces, and conduct specific ecological benefit evaluation and analysis for each type of space; Finally, through comprehensive analysis, identify ecological benefits issues and propose corresponding strategies for optimizing and enhancing ecological benefits. The main conclusions drawn from this study are as follows:(1)The ecological benefits of townships and streets along the Hefei section of the Yangtze River to Huaihe River Diversion Project are divided into five ecological benefit zones, namely, ecological low benefit zones(<0.2),ecological low benefit zones(0.20-0.30),ecological general benefit zones(0.30-0.37),ecological high benefit zones(0.37-0.47),and ecological high benefit zones(≥0.47).Through ecological benefit evaluation of 25 townships and streets along the Hefei section of the Yangtze River to Huaihe River Diversion Project,The overall ecological efficiency level of towns and streets along the Hefei section of the Yangtze River to Huaihe River Diversion Project shows a trend of high in the south and central regions, while low in the north.(2)There are high ecological efficiency areas such as Sanhe Town(0.59),Longqiao Town(0.58),and Huailin Town(0.57).From the perspective of geographical location and terrain, the ecological efficient benefit areas are mainly distributed around rivers, lakes, and mountains. The spatial distribution characteristics of ecological benefits of towns and streets along the Hefei section of the Yangtze Huaihe River Diversion Project are very similar to the spatial distribution characteristics of Natural landscape and scenic spots. The ecologically high benefit areas include Baishan Town(0.46)and Yefushan Town(0.44).In terms of spatial distribution, the ecologically high benefit areas are adjacent to the ecologically high benefit areas without any faults. There are scenic spots around the towns where the ecologically high benefit areas are located, and the ecologically high benefit areas inherit the overflow resources of the ecologically high benefit areas, thus achieving development.(3)Through spatial autocorrelation analysis, the Moran’s I indices for hydrological factors, landscape ecological risk factors, ecological service value factors, and ecological benefits were 0.579,0.875,0.814,and 0.566,respectively,indicating significant spatial agglomeration.Through the spatial autocorrelation evaluation results of single factor and comprehensive ecological benefits,it was found that the spatial clustering status of hydrological factor index, landscape ecological risk factor index, ecological service value factor index, and comprehensive ecological benefits index are highly consistent.(4)By identifying the distribution characteristics of ecological benefits in the three living spaces of towns and streets along the Hefei section of the Yangtze River to Huaihe River Diversion Project,it was found that the area with lower ecological benefits in the living space is the largest, accounting for 45.71% of the living space area. The ecological benefits mainly exhibit a spatial distribution pattern of "small agglomeration and large dispersion";The area of ecological high benefit areas in the ecological space is the largest, accounting for 63.18% of the ecological space area. The ecological benefits mainly show a spatial distribution pattern of "local agglomeration, and regional connection";The ecological general benefit zone within the production space occupies the largest area, accounting for44.70% of the production space area. The ecological benefits mainly exhibit a spatial distribution pattern of "high high agglomeration, low low agglomeration".(5)By identifying issues related to ecological benefits: the hydrological factor index of towns such as Gaodian Township is relatively low, close to 0.001,and the water quality of the water system is poor, with the ecological benefit index as low as 0.19;The spatial distribution of ecological benefits in towns and streets along the Hefei section of the Yangtze River to Huaihe River Diversion Project is high in the south and low in the north. There are few landscape nodes in the low ecological benefit areas, and good ecological landscape nodes greatly affect the ecological benefits within the region; The ecological benefit indices of the Economic and Technological Development Zone,High tech Development Zone, and Taohua Town are 0.16,0.25,and 0.18,respectively,which belong to areas with low ecological benefits. In terms of GDP,the Economic and Technological Development Zone,High tech Development Zone, and Taohua Town rank among the top in terms of economic benefits compared to other towns and streets. The development of ecological benefits and economic benefits is not unified; The proportion of ecological efficient areas in the production space of townships and streets along the Hefei section of the Yangtze River to Huaihe River Diversion Project is only 0.69%,while the proportion of ecological efficient areas in the living space is 0.19%.The ecological benefits of production and living spaces are relatively poor.(6)Based on the evaluation results and problem identification of ecological benefits, ecological benefit optimization strategies are proposed from four aspects: repairing water systems and vegetation resources, optimizing the layout of landscape nodes along the line, conducting zoning control based on the functional positioning of the area along the line, and building characteristic towns according to the resource endowment of different types of towns along the line.Figure [35] table[28] reference[80]...
