| With the rapid economic development, human society has created an unprecedented prosperous material civilization, but at the same time, the problems of global warming and extreme weather caused by excessive carbon emissions also pose a great threat to human sustainable development. In this context, how to effectively control carbon emissions has received widespread attention from all walks of life,as evidenced by the increasing awareness of environmental protection among consumers and their growing preference for low-carbon products;the increasing focus of enterprises on carbon emission reduction technology research and development investment;and the continuous introduction of carbon policies by the government to encourage all sectors of society to actively participate in emission reduction. These initiatives have had a great impact on supply chain emission reduction decisions and have gradually become a hot spot for research in the supply chain field. At present, most scholars in this field focus on the horizontal selection of supply chain emission reduction strategies under the influence of government policies, but few studies have analyzed the effect of government carbon policies and the feasibility of emission reduction strategies by comparing the same emission reduction strategies under two scenarios with and without the influence of government policies.Based on the above background, this paper constructs a low-carbon supply chain system consisting of a single manufacturer and a single retailer, and investigates the supply chain emission reduction strategy and coordination problem under two scenarios, considering the influence of government policies and not considering the influence of government policies.Firstly,by introducing a joint emission reduction coordination strategy based on manufacturers’ incremental benefit-sharing contracts for emission reduction, the horizontal selection of supply chain emission reduction strategies under two scenarios is investigated separately.Secondly,a longitudinal comparison of the optimal performance of the supply chain under the two scenarios is used to determine whether the optimal performance of the supply chain can be optimized when government policies influence it.The main research contents are:First, under the scenario of supply chain emission reduction without considering the influence of government policies,a decision model of centralized supply chain emission reduction coordination strategy, manufacturers’ individual emission reduction strategy and joint emission reduction coordination strategy based on manufacturers’ emission reduction incremental benefit sharing contract was developed, solved separately to obtain the optimal performance of the supply chain, comparing them side-by-side,analyzing the impact of consumer low carbon awareness and abatement investment costs on optimal supply chain performance, and verified by numerical simulation analysis. The study found that: The improvement of consumer awareness can improve the optimal performance of the supply chain, but the improvement is affected by the cost of abatement investment; The supply chain performance is best under the centralized abatement coordination strategy, and when the agreed supply chain contract meets certain conditions, the supply chain performance under the joint abatement coordination strategy is better than that of the manufacturer’s individual abatement strategy.Second,in the case of supply chain emission reduction considering the influence of government policies, the above emission reduction decision model was extended accordingly.By solving the model and making a cross-sectional comparison of the optimal performance of the supply chain under different strategies, analyze the impact of abatement cost subsidies and green consumption subsidies on the optimal performance of the supply chain. The study found that: In the case of supply chain abatement where the impact of government policies is considered, the abatement decision conditions are more demanding; Both emission reduction cost subsidies and green consumption subsidies improve the optimal performance of the supply chain and the impact trajectories tend to be consistent;Although the joint abatement coordination strategy fails to achieve supply chain coordination, its optimal supply chain performance is significantly better than that of manufacturers’ individual abatement strategies. Finally,a longitudinal comparison of the optimal performance levels of different abatement strategies under the two scenarios is conducted to analyze whether and how well the optimal performance levels of the supply chain can be optimized under the influence of government policies. The study finds that:Subsidy measures all enhance the level of optimal supply chain performance, while excessive carbon taxes inhibit optimal supply chain performance;Compared to abatement cost subsidies, green consumption subsidies are more effective in improving the optimal level of supply chain performance. |
