Cement clinker strength is an important index to evaluate the quality of cement. Most cement plants increase the content of C3S to improve the strength of cement clinker, but high content of C3S increases the difficulty of process calcination, resulting in excessive consumption of raw material resources, which is unfavorable to the actual kiln operation and economic benefits of cement plants. In fact, the crystal type of C3S affects the strength of cement clinker. In this paper, the strength of cement clinker is improved by increasing the content of C3S-M1 in cement clinker. While improving the strength of cement clinker, resources and benefits are taken into account.Considering China’s vast territory, the raw materials of cement plants vary greatly. To obtain higher C3S-M1 content, six raw materials, namely low, high SM,high and low SM,are obtained through changing the mixing method, changing the calcination temperature and heating time. The results show that with the increase of calcination temperature and holding time, the contents of C3S in clinker increase, while the contents of C2S and f-Ca O decrease. The C3S-M1 type in clinker increases;Increased calcination temperature and holding time have greater effects on mineral composition and crystal type change than high districts clinker.High custom clinker and low SM clinker are less susceptible to external fluctuations and are more stable. In the actual production process, low SM clinker is easy to form large chunks in rotary kiln.Large industrial clinker is stratified and chemical analysis and mineral composition study are carried out.The results show that Si O2content from outer layer to inner layer gradually decreases due to different coal ash content.Due to the thermal resistance and different calcination systems, the C3S content decreases from outer layer to inner layer, and the C2S content that does not react with f-Ca O increases. The overall content of silicate minerals decreased. From the outer layer to the inner layer,C3S-M1 is elevated. In order to explore the influence of calcining system on the clinker mineral composition, the laboratory made a raw material ball with a diameter of about 50mm,and used a thermocouple to detect its internal and surface temperature, and carried out mineral composition analysis on the inner and outer layers. The results show that the central temperature is always lower than.
