As one of the key components in the manufacturing industry, bearings are known as the "heart" of equipment manufacturing. However, under harsh environments, bearings are prone to wear and tear, which is often slow and gradual and can easily be overlooked and lead to significant losses.Intensive grinding processes are widely used to improve the surface properties of bearings and bearing materials in order to improve the wear resistance of bearings. In this paper,Cronidur 30 bearing steel is selected as the research object, and the effect of different intensive grinding processing parameters on the residual stress and surface plastic deformation of Cronidur 30 bearing steel is investigated by using a combination of numerical simulation and experimental methods.30 bearing steel surface properties, and finally to investigate the surface wear resistance of Cronidur 30 bearing steel under different loads before and after intensive grinding processing. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Based on the M-B function, the contact deformation process and the force condition of the severity are analyzed, and the wear surface deformation characteristics of Cronidur 30 bearing steel are deduced combined with the wear contact interface characteristics.(2)To investigate the effect of strengthened grinding with different processing parameters on the surface of Cronidur 30 bearing steel targets. When the spray velocity increases, the residual stress layer of Cronidur 30 bearing steel target becomes thicker, and the maximum residual stress value first increases, and then decreases. The maximum residual stress of Cronidur 30 bearing steel target increases as the diameter of hard sphere increases. In addition, the residual compressive stress on the surface, the maximum residual compressive stress on the subsurface and the thickness of the residual compressive stress layer decrease with the decrease of the spray angle.Box-Behnken was used to explore the interaction of different processing parameters on the surface of Cronidur 30 bearing steel target and to solve the optimal process parameters. The diameter of hard sphere is the dominant factor in the maximum PEEQ value, the spray velocity is the most critical factor in the maximum compressive residual stress.(3)To investigate the effect of strengthened grinding with different processing parameters on the surface of Cronidur 30 bearing steel. The results showed that the strengthened grinding treatment significantly increased the surface microhardness of Cronidur30 bearing steel and increased the surface residual compressive stress. In the range of sliding speed 0.06m/s~0.25m/s and load 0N~300N,the wear rate of Cronidur 30 bearing steel can be roughly divided into three areas: the minimum wear rate of minimal wear area is 0.12m/h,and the slight wear area accounts for the largest area of the distribution chart. The darkest color of the wear area is the severe wear area, the maximum wear rate is more than 3.05m/h.The wear of Cronidur 30 bearing steel is mainly concentrated in the slight wear area, the wear rate tends to increase gradually with the increase of load and speed.(4)To investigate the anti-wear properties of Cronidur 30 bearing steel surfaces before and after the strengthened grinding process. The strengthened grinding process can effectively reduce the friction coefficient of Cronidur 30 bearing steel specimens, compared with the original Cronidur 30 bearing steel specimens, strengthened grinding of Cronidur 30 bearing steel specimens have smaller and shallower wear marks, and the degree of wear is gentle. The wear resistance at 20 N,60N,and 100 N loads significantly improved compared to the original specimens. The original specimens showed mainly abrasive wear and oxidation wear at 20 N load.In contrast, those at 60 N and 100 N loads showed mainly abrasive wear, adhesion wear, oxidation wear and peeling wear, and the degree of wear became more severe with increasing load.In contrast, the machined specimens showed intact abrasion marks and slight wear.Under 20 N load, the Cronidur 30 bearing steel machined specimens mainly showed slight oxidation and abrasive wear.At 60 N and 100 N,the specimens showed mainly oxidative wear, adhesive wear and superficial spalling;strengthened grinding treatment significantly improved the wear resistance of the specimens.
