| Vaginal rings have gradually been used in a variety of areas of female reproductive health,with the advantage of avoiding first-pass effects and of releasing one or more drugs slowly over a long period of time.In this paper,different structures of the vaginal ring,polymer material types,different applications are briefly described.At the same time,aiming at the optimization of the existing preparation process of vaginal ring,the hot melt extrusion method was used to design the preparation platform of vaginal ring,and the physical and chemical properties of the vaginal ring carrier material vinyl-vinyl acetate copolymer were studied,which laid the foundation for the next optimization of the prescription process.In the later stage,drugs applied in assisted reproduction,hormone replacement therapy and endometriosis will be prepared into vaginal rings,and corresponding analysis methods will be established.From high dose of progesterone to low dose of estradiol to medium dose of anastrozole,comprehensive and multi-angle preliminary exploration will be made on the application of vaginal rings constructed by EVA in the field of female reproductive health.The stability and feasibility of the vaginal ring preparation platform designed by our research group were preliminarily verified,and the drug-carrying vaginal ring with expected release quantity was well prepared. |
