At this stage,the updating speed of large-scale topographic maps is gradually accelerating,and as a manifestation of geospatial information carrier,the large-scale topographic map plays an very important role in the areas of urban planning,construction projects,resource utilization and development,which makes quality control of large-scale topographic maps is essential.However,at present,the quality inspection of large-scale topographic map still uses traditional measurement tools and manual inspection methods,which is relatively backward,slow and long cycle.It is urgent to study efficient,accurate and safe methods of inspection,which can improve the inspection efficiency of large-scale topographic map,reduce the field work of quality inspectors,while ensuring the accuracy.The vehicle-borne laser scanning system,as a new technology for high speed acquisition of 3D information on the surface of earth,has the advantages of high acquisition efficiency and low labor intensity,which can effectively replace the traditional measurement methods,solve the problem of long working time and high labor intensity,and it has a natural advantage for the quality inspection work of large-scale topographic map.In this paper,the composition,data fusion of vehicle-borne laser scanning system and point cloud feature extraction are analyzed which are based on the content,characteristics and common methods of the quality inspection work of large-scale topographic maps,and using the vehicle-borne laser scanning system to carry out the quality inspection of large-scale topographic map is proposed.The vehicle-borne laser scanning system is used to collect data in the inspection area of large-scale topographic map.After processing,the point cloud data,point cloud features and panoramic image data are obtained as the quality inspection measured data,the mathematical accuracy and geographic accuracy of the large-scale topographic map to be inspected by the measured data.The main work is as follows:1.In this paper,the work contents and characteristics of quality inspection of large-scale topographic map are analyzed,and the advantages and disadvantages of the current commonly used inspection methods are summarized.The composition of the vehicle laser scanning system and the principle of data extraction are summarized,and a method of using the vehicle-borne laser scanning system to acquire the quality inspection data of large-scale topographic map are proposed.2.According to the requirements and contents of large-scale topographic map quality inspection,different point cloud extraction algorithms are designed to extract the features of the point cloud data collected by the vehicle-borne laser scanning system,and the panoramic splicing of the collected images is carried out.A method to check the quality of large-scale topographic map with point cloud data,point cloud features and vehicle mounted image data is proposed,and the key technologies are discussed.3.The feasibility of collecting quality inspection data from vehicle-borne laser scanning system is verified through experiments,and the feasibility of quality inspection of large-scale topographic map using point cloud,features and images is verified.The accuracy and efficiency of vehicle mounted laser scanning system are verified by traditional quality inspection methods.Experiment shows that the precision of the vehicle-borne laser scanning system is excellent,and it can improve the inspection efficiency,reduce the labor,and complete work with high-accuracy while it used in the quality inspection work of large-scale topographic map.
