Among the existing energy storage equipment,supercapacitors have higher output power and power density,and are widely used in vehicles,electronic communication equipment,large-scale equipment,and hybrid platforms.Accurate measurement of the performance parameters and charging and discharging state of supercapacitor is the most important issue in supercapacitor applications.In practical applications,the ambient temperature and charging and discharging rate could affect the performance and health of the supercapacitor.In terms of safety,the measurement of the internal temperature of the supercapacitors could prevent accidents caused by thermal runaway or interruption of operation.The real-time monitoring of the temperature and charge state inside the supercapacitor is of great significance for studying the electrode materials of the supercapacitor and understanding the internal working principle deeply.It can also detect energy storage equipment with sudden temperature changes or sudden drop in charging and discharging efficiency in time,and accidents caused by hidden safety hazards will be prevented.In this paper,supercapacitors,electrochemical detection methods,and preparation methods of optical fiber sensors based on the principle of surface plasmon resonance are introduced in detail.Moreover,the related preparation process has been optimized,and a low-cost,miniaturized optical fiber sensing system based on surface plasmon resonance(SPR)technology and local surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)technology was proposed.In this research,a miniaturized optical fiber sensor was implanted inside the supercapacitor to realize in-situ charge and internal temperature detection.And the special structural optimization was used to avoid the cross interference of the two measured parameters.In the experimental results,the charge state and internal temperature change of the supercapacitor respectively correspond to the optical signals output by the two optical fiber sensors and had a stable correlation.All parameters were sensitively monitored in real time by the sensing system.The research and application of optical fiber sensors in the field of energy monitoring had been effectively expanded.
