With the continuous deepening of the curriculum reform,the teaching of novel reading has also been paid more attention.As one of the compulsory content in junior high school Chinese textbooks,novels play a very important role in cultivating students’ reading ability,improving students’ aesthetic ability and mastering reading skills.The improvement of novel reading ability is also a long-term study and accumulation.the process of.As students get older,their reading volume and ability to understand novels is constantly increasing.It requires the cooperation of schools,teachers,and students to allow students to learn excellent knowledge from them and break through the reality and time when studying novels.Fettered in the novel to appreciate the rich life,the vast world,to explore the author’s spiritual world.It not only opens up students’ horizons and increases their spiritual wealth,but also lays a solid foundation for reading Chinese for junior high school students.However,in the actual Chinese teaching,there are still some problems in the teaching of novels.In recent years,as school leaders continue to attach importance to the teaching of novel reading and the teachers’ professional level and teaching methods continue to improve,corresponding results have been achieved,but there are still some problems that require the joint efforts of schools,teachers and students to overcome them.Difficulties have improved the teaching of novel reading in S Middle School in YJ City.This article uses the literature method,questionnaire survey method,classroom observation method,and case analysis method through field investigation.Based on the actual situation,I wrote a questionnaire by myself,and took S Middle School in YJ City as the survey school.The language teachers and students of the school were the subjects of the survey.The subject of the survey was novel reading teaching in S Middle School in YJ City.Then,according to the results of the survey,statistics and analysis of the problems and reasons in the teaching of novels were carried out,and targeted and implementable suggestions were put forward based on the actual situation of the school,which provided reference for the school’s novel reading teaching.The theoretical basis.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction part,the main content is the questioning,the purpose and significance of the research,a simple discussion on the status quo of domestic and foreign research,the content and methods of the research.The second part briefly explains the theoretical basis for the teaching of novel reading in junior high schools,including: "Compulsory Education Chinese Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)",narratology theory,and reception aesthetics theory.The third part investigates the current situation of novel reading teaching in S Middle School in YJ City,including the design and implementation of questionnaires and the current situation of novel teaching.Among them,the current situation of novel teaching is investigated from the perspectives of students’ learning and teachers’ teaching.The fourth part is based on the survey results of the third part,discusses and analyzes what achievements the school,teachers,and students have achieved in the novel reading teaching of S Middle School in YJ City,and what problems are there in teachers and students.The fifth part,based on the statistical analysis of the survey results of S Middle School in YJ City and the problems raised in the fourth part,propose corresponding solutions from the perspectives of teachers and students.Provide some targeted and implementable suggestions for the novel reading teaching of S Middle School in YJ City to cultivate students’ novel reading ability and core Chinese literacy.
