| Career education in ordinary senior high school refers to the purposeful and planned educational activities that help and guide senior high school students to establish the consciousness of self-development,master the knowledge and skills of career planning,establish career goals,make career decisions and seek the best path of career development.The development of career education in ordinary senior high school is an effective way to cultivate students’ ability of independent development and an inevitable requirement to cope with the new college entrance examination reform.On the one hand,it explains the career education of ordinary high school theoretically.Starting with the connotation and characteristics of career,it defines the concept of career education,and then defines the connotation of career education of ordinary high school step by step.Guided by the career development theory of Ginsberg and Schuber and combined with the career tasks of ordinary high school students in China,this paper constructs the goal and content framework of ordinary high school career education.This paper expounds the value of career education in senior high school in promoting the individual development of students,realizing the benign interaction between teachers and students and the diversified development of the school.In addition,in order to have a more comprehensive understanding of the development history of career education,the history of career education is also sorted out in detail,and the development process of career education is divided into four stages according to the characteristics of development: one is the rise stage from the early 20th century to the 1930s;The second is the initial development stage from 1940s to 1970s;Third,the rapid popularization period from 1970s to 1990s;Fourth,the stage of deepening reform since the 21st century.On the other hand,from the perspective of practice,this paper examines the current status of career education in ordinary senior high schools.Firstly,the current high school students’ career development awareness and career planning ability are investigated to investigate the current situation of career education guidance for students in ordinary high schools,and the current situation of high school students’ career development awareness and planning ability is relatively weak.The second is to investigate the demands of senior high school students on the contents and implementation methods of career education in general high school,as well as the implementation status of career education in general high school,and investigate the preferences of students from different backgrounds on the implementation methods of career education.It is concluded that the current implementation of career education in ordinary senior high schools does not match the development needs of students and the implementation of career education in ordinary senior high schools does not match the needs of students.On this basis,this paper summarizes three dilemmas existing in the implementation of career education in current ordinary senior high schools.First,the content of career education is not perfect enough,and the content of school career education is simple,traditional and formal,and lacks substantive content.Second,the implementation of career education is single,it is difficult to provide a multi-channel implementation of career education,ignoring the hidden differences of students’ grades,gender and family resources and the demand tendency of students with different backgrounds.Third,the lack of career education teachers,the number of full-time career education teachers in schools is small,the number of part-time teachers,and the level of teachers is uneven,the lack of unified standards.On this basis,this paper makes an attribution analysis of the current difficulties in the career education of ordinary senior high schools in China,and points out that the constraints of traditional exam-oriented concepts,the lack of corresponding system guarantee and the lack of social resources support are the key reasons that restrict the effective implementation of the career education of ordinary senior high schools.First of all,under the constraints of the traditional exam-oriented concept,the orientation of high school education in China has been deviated.Ordinary high schools have always been the reserve institutions of higher education,and attach too much importance to the students’ college entrance examination results and the enrollment rate of schools,while ignoring the development of students’ comprehensive quality.They do not really understand the connotation and value of career education.They simply regard career education as vocational training and do not agree to carry out career education in ordinary high schools,which also makes it difficult to implement career education in ordinary high schools.Secondly,the current implementation of career education in senior high schools in China is lack of institutional guarantee,which is mainly manifested in the absence of curriculum management system,teacher management system and off-campus cooperation system.First,there is a lack of curriculum management system.There is no specific arrangement on the curriculum type,curriculum setting and curriculum implementation of career education from the institutional level,and there is no clear target,time and space for the course.The second is the lack of teacher management system,mainly manifested as the lack of professional standards and professional system.At present,our country has not determined the professional quality that high school career education teachers must have from the system level,which makes it difficult for ordinary high schools to evaluate and examine teachers’ teaching.The policies at the national level also do not involve the identity,post and treatment of career education teachers.At present,most career education teachers are teachers of various disciplines,psychology teachers,moral education teachers or class teachers.Third,there is a lack of off-campus cooperation system.There is no corresponding legal and institutional system established at the national level to make all kinds of resources cooperate with each other to jointly promote the development of school career education.Last but not least,the lack of social resource support also haunts the effective implementation of career education in ordinary senior high schools.First,there is a lack of national policy support;second,there is a lack of academic research support;third,there is a lack of support from social institutions.Therefore,based on the research results,the following improvement suggestions are proposed for the current implementation of career education in ordinary senior high schools: One is high school students consciousness of career development and planning of the status quo of ability is weak,solve high school students in primary and high cohesion stage career consciousness weak,difficult to adapt to high school life and higher phase self-knowledge and decision-making more confused and his first choice after college entrance examination to college,due to the unknown for university life in difficulties,such as anxiety,tension and confusion,In the above three stages,emphasis should be placed on strengthening the guidance of students’ career development consciousness and career planning ability;Second,according to the development needs of students,the corresponding career tasks should be set up in sequence and in stages,and the content of career education should be developed reasonably.For example,the task of the first semester of high school year is self-cognition exploration,and the task of the second semester of high school year is course selection and subject selection decision-making.Third,we should fully respect the initiative and uniqueness of students,and provide targeted guidance for each student according to their individual characteristics,so as to enrich the implementation methods of career education.Fourth,strengthen the construction of teachers and improve their career guidance ability.The first is to set up career education specialty in colleges and universities to train professional career education teachers,so as to solve the problem that there is no professional career education teacher from the source.Secondly,for part-time teachers who have started to implement career education at present,we should explore the establishment of targeted teacher training and set up career education teacher certificate courses.Thirdly,it is necessary to establish a sound system to clarify the professional standards and professional identity of career education teachers in ordinary high schools,so as to guarantee the sustainable development of career education teachers. |
