How To Break Through The "master-slave Structure"

In addition to the introduction,this paper consists of three parts.In terms of the writing method,it starts with a close reading of the texts.Under the subject of “the structure of master and flunkey”,it focuses on the discrimination and analysis of the texts directly related to this theme,such as The Wise Man and the Fool and the Flunkey and The True Story of Ah Q.From point to point,it also comments on some other texts,including the quotation of Lu Xun’s essays on this issue.The first part consists of two sections.The first section analyzes the concept of “flunkey” and presents it in comparison with the concept of “slave”,which shows the differences in Lu Xun’s application of this concept in different contexts.The second section focuses on the analysis of the flunkey,intelligent people and their image characteristics in The Wise Man and the Fool and the Flunkey.They weave a net of “the structure of master and flunkey”,and the fool is also woven into it.The so-called “the structure of master and flunkey” points to the “man-eating” dark reality,which means people are treated “inhumanly”,which is a structure of hierarchy/power relationship.The second part is also divided into two sections.Section 1: Can a fool,as an act of revolution,break through the “the structure of master and flunkey” ? The fool failed tragically.The second section: In The True Story of Ah Q,Lu Xun focuses on the analysis of the “spiritual victory method”.Can Ah Q get rid of the “spiritual victory method”? This is the focus of the analysis of this paper;In other words,if Ah Q who is slavish(rooted in slaves)can come out,then this kind of change is originated from the real change inside the reality and tradition.In this way,we can break the “the structure of master and flunkey” and its cycle--that is,Lu Xun said,the next step is to change ourselves.
