"I Love My Home" Conversation Analysis

Conversational analysis is the study of daily conversation and its rules from the perspective of linguistics,revealing the internal principles followed by daily conversation,which is conducive to improving the efficiency of daily communication and promoting the smooth completion of conversation.The sitcom I love my family is one of the representative domestic sitcoms in China.It tells a series of funny and instructive stories about an ordinary family in Beijing in the 1990s.This article will with the sitcom "I love my family" script lines is given priority to,combined with the session put forward by sax,Jefferson analysis related theory,from the overall structure of the session,local structure and wheel transfer mode for system analysis,and summarizes the "I love my family" session features and reasons of different from daily conversation.The corpus of this paper comes from the script lines of the first 20 episodes of I love my family.This paper consists of three chapters:The introduction part explains the basis of the topic selection and the purpose of the research,expounds the research status of conversational analysis,situation comedy and I love my family,and explains the research methods and corpus sources.The first chapter starts from the overall structure of "I love my family" to carry out the analysis of the conversation lines,and through the comparison with the daily conversation structure,from the beginning of the conversation,the main body and the end of the study and conclude its structural characteristics.Among them,there are similarities and differences in the beginning of conversation between strangers and acquaintances,but the beginning of general conversation is basically similar to the beginning of daily conversation,and there are two ways to combine the beginning.In the corpus selected,the main part of the conversation coexists with the single-topic style and the multi-topic style,and the single-topic style dominates,which is different from the daily conversation process.The closing part is different from the form of everyday conversation and tends to be an open ending without an obvious farewell sequence.The second chapter embarks from the local structure of "I love my family" session line of analysis,and compared with the structure of the conversation,from the words,the structure of the answer and correct sequence is studied and summarized respectively,part three local structural features:turn,"I love my family" in most of the wheel by a group of words and sentence composition,different from daily conversation,and most of the session handover principles conform to turn;The interlocutor structure mainly includes adjunctive and embedded,among which the interlocutor also includes two variant forms,and the interlocutor structure is missing.In terms of conversational correction,there are three paths in the selected corpus:self-initiation--self-correction,other-initiation--self-correction,and other-initiation---other-correction.There is no self-initiation--other-correction path,and the occurrence frequency is in line with the priority of daily conversational correction sequence.The position of self-correction initiation is only in the wheel when the correction source appears and in the transformation associated position of the wheel when the correction source appears,which is different from the daily life.However,the position of other correction initiation almost always appears in the next wheel when the correction source is located,which is basically the same as the daily conversation.The third chapter starts from two aspects:the way of communication and the adaptability of communication,and concludes that there are two kinds of communication in the script of "I love my family":normal and abnormal communication.However,there are three ways of abnormal communication transfer:quick turn,slow turn and interrupt,among which quick turn is the most.Finally,based on the theory of adaptation and the selected corpus,this paper starts from three aspects:the composition,the distribution and the handover of the language wheels,and summarizes how the language wheels of the play achieve linguistic adaptation.
