Diet is the most basic need for human survival and reproduction,and diet culture is a kind of culture created by human in diet practice.China’s food culture has a long history and rich background,and the food culture of different regions and ethnic groups has its own characteristics.The Daur is one of the ethnic minorities in China.Its diet culture originates from the long-standing diet practice of the Daur people,is closely related to the daily life of the Daur,and is an important part of the Daur folk culture.The research takes Meilisi Daur area in Qiqihar City of Heilongjiang Province as the field investigation site,and the local Daur as the research object.On the basis of consulting relevant data and field investigation,it describes in detail the common eating habits and special festival eating customs in the Daur traditional eating culture,in order to have a deeper understanding of the Daur traditional eating culture.Then,it analyzes the influence of natural environment and livelihood on the formation of Daur traditional food culture,and also discusses the changes and development of Daur traditional food culture.Through the above research,it is concluded that although the traditional diet culture of Daur is gradually declining in the development of modern society,it is of great significance to develop and utilize it rationally for publicizing the traditional culture of Daur,enhancing ethnic identity and promoting regional economic development.
