Since the reform and opening up,with the rapid development of China’s economic level,China’s urbanization level has made a qualitative leap.More and more rural working people come to the city to make a living.With the continuous growth of the migrant population,the number of urban migrant children is also increasing day by day.Affected by their own mobility and the lack of parental education,Floating Children inevitably have more interpersonal difficulties than other children,so they are easy to escape from real society and fall into virtual society.In the network information age,the online game industry is growing.With the embedding of social functions,online games appear in people’s daily life as a new way of interpersonal communication.Online games not only meet the entertainment needs of Floating Children,but also provide a platform for interpersonal communication of Floating Children.However,while online games provide convenience for the interpersonal communication of Floating Children,they also have some harm.In this context,combined with the relevant theories of communication,sociology and psychology,this study will take the Floating Children in Lanzhou as the research object to investigate the impact of online games on the interpersonal communication of Floating Children,in order to regulate the online game behavior of Floating Children and give full play to the positive guiding role of online games on Floating Children.This paper mainly launches from the following parts.In the preface research,this study focuses on the practical problems that online games affect the interpersonal communication of Floating Children.Firstly,it discriminates the three key concepts of online games,Floating Children and interpersonal communication,combs the research results in relevant fields at home and abroad,confirms the theoretical framework of this study,and carefully positions the research purpose and content of this study through questionnaire,in-depth interview The participatory observation method and the research method of network ethnography carried out field research on S primary school.In the main part of the paper,based on the analysis of questionnaire data and survey data,this paper mainly studies the following four contents:The first part grasps the basic personal situation,family situation,media contact and online game contact of Floating Children in Lanzhou through the results of descriptive statistical analysis,so as to construct the "behind the scenes" life background and psychological extension of Floating Children,and preliminarily understand the interpersonal integration difficulties faced by Floating Children.The second part quantitatively analyzes the interpersonal communication of Floating Children in real life and online games through the data processing of interview materials.The analysis shows that Floating Children show low-level interpersonal quality in real life,which is specifically manifested in insufficient communication ability,low communication enthusiasm,lack of communication skills and interaction skills,and deviation in interpersonal cognition.The overall level of interpersonal communication of Floating Children in online games is slightly higher than that in real life,but it has not yet reached a high level.The third part uses the methods of one-way analysis of variance and correlation analysis to study the differences of the impact of demographic background factors on the interpersonal communication of Floating Children and whether there is a correlation between online game contact and the interpersonal communication of Floating Children.The main results of this part are as follows: the interpersonal communication level of migrant boys is relatively better than that of migrant girls,the interpersonal communication level of older Floating Children is relatively better than that of younger Floating Children who have been to Lanzhou for a longer time,and the interpersonal communication level of Floating Children who have been to Lanzhou for a shorter time;The use time of online games is moderately correlated with the interpersonal communication level of Floating Children in Lanzhou.The motivation of online games to meet interpersonal needs,mood change needs and self confirmation needs is positively correlated with the interpersonal communication level of Floating Children.The fourth part mainly takes Schutz’s three-dimensional theory of interpersonal needs as the analytical framework,analyzes the positive and negative effects of online games on Floating Children’s interpersonal communication through the interpretation of interview information and the survey results of online ethnography,and discusses the reasons why online games can affect Floating Children’s interpersonal communication.The positive effects are as follows: Online games break the confinements of Floating Children interpersonal communication,help them build up confidence,relieve their social anxiety,and the "interesting connection" of online games strengthens the weak relationship network of Floating Children.Negative games mainly cause Floating Children to indulge in virtual social interaction,conflict with real social interaction,make Floating Children be eroded by vulgar and pornographic Internet culture,and cause Floating Children to blur the boundary between virtual and real,and confuse their self-cognition.Finally,combined with the reality,aiming at the interpersonal difficulties of Floating Children,this paper puts forward the ways to give full play to the positive impact of online games on Floating Children’s interpersonal communication from the perspective of family,school and government.It is expected to help Floating Children improve their interpersonal abilities,promote their interpersonal integration,and create a healthy online game space for Floating Children.In short,as an increasingly large urban special group,the interpersonal problem of Floating Children is not only related to the healthy growth of Floating Children,but also a social problem with practical significance and worthy of common attention of academia and the government.How to give full play to the positive impact of online games on the interpersonal communication of Floating Children and create a fair,healthy and happy growth space for Floating Children requires the long-term thinking and efforts of all sectors of society.
