The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between social support,self-efficacy and mobile phone dependence of left-behind middle school students, and to explore the mediating role of self-efficacy in social support and mobile phone dependence of left-behind middle school students, and to enrich relevant research on influencing factors of mobile phone dependence of left-behind middle school students.Provide some ideas for preventing and improving the mobile phone dependence of left-behind middle school students. In this study,"Social Support Rating Scale","General Self-Efficacy Scale","Mobile Phone Dependency Scale for Middle School Students" were used to investigate 801 middle school students(including 398 left-behind middle school students). The results are as follows:1.The difference between the total score and the dimensions of mobile phone dependence of left-behind and non-left-behind middle school students is significant. There are no significant differences in the mobile phone dependence and various dimensions of left-behind middle school students in terms of gender, whether they live in school, whether they divorce the family,or the frequency of reunion with their parents, and there are significant differences in grades and stay time.2.There is no significant difference between left-behind and non-left-behind middle school students in objective support and utilization of support, but there is a significant difference in the total scores of subjective support and social support. The total score of social support for left-behind middle school students in divorced families is significantly lower than that in non-divorced families.3.The difference of self-efficacy between left-behind and non-left-behind middle school students is significant. The left-behind middle school students’ self-efficacy has significant differences in gender and left-behind time.4.The left-behind middle school students’ mobile phone reliance on the total score and each dimension is significantly negatively correlated with the total social support score and each dimension. There is a significant negative correlation between mobile phone dependence and various dimensions of self-efficacy in the left-behind middle school.5.The left-behind middle school students’ self-efficacy has a partial mediating effect between social support and mobile phone dependence.
