Research On Initiation And Responsive Socialism Of Wumen School Of Painting ——Take Wen Zhengming As An Example

The Wumen School of Painting occupied the dominant position in the painting circle in the mid-Ming Dynasty.The scholar-officials in the Wuzhong area lived in idleness or in seclusion,and regarded themselves as painters and poets.The Wumen painters’ pursuit of poetry was not only reflected in their paintings,but also directly expressed in their poetry.The special political background and the imperial examination system in the Ming Dynasty made the literati painters have more time and energy to devote themselves to the research and creation of poetry and painting,and gradually formed a circle of communication among the literati in the Wuzhong area,as the carrier of their communication,Wu Zhong literati’s initiating and responsive social interactions mostly revolve around gatherings,travel,birthday celebrations,gratitude,farewells and other situations,resulting in a variety of initiating and responding forms.This paper takes Wen Zhengming,a giant of the Wumen School of Painting as a case,starting from the different forms of his initiating and responsive social interaction activities,and expounding through his several different types of schema and text works,focusing on the analysis of poetry and prose in Wen Zhengming.What position did he occupy in social activities,and how did he play the function of poetry and prose in social communication among literati,and how did the initiation and response of poetry and prose play a role in maintaining human relations among literati at that time.
