On The Expression Of "time" In Modern And Contemporary Art

As a relatively abstract concept,time has always been an important proposition for human survival thinking.The development of science and technology and philosophical theories constantly updates and fills the cognition of time.Visual artists use different media,concepts and methods in their fields to concretize the abstract concept of time.The openness and diversification of expression in modern and contemporary art break through the formal boundaries of previous art.After the attempts and experiments of visual artists,time as the theme of art provides more possibilities for art.The first part forms a preliminary understanding of "time" by sorting out the different concepts of time in ancient and modern China and abroad,as well as the discussion of time in modern physics and philosophy.In the second part,we can see that the static two-dimensional plane expresses the concept of four-dimensional time from the graphic painting in the early period of China and the West,and then to several art schools of modernism.The third part analyzes the corresponding modern and contemporary artists and works of art by subdividing time,selecting key words related to time,process,commemoration,record,infinity Unique modernity and more possibilities.At the same time,it presents concerns about social issues and humanistic values in the time trajectory.The fourth part comes from my artistic creation,focusing on the traces of time and the most essential substances in the natural creation as the creative materials,using the experience of time in personal life,practice in the field space of the society,and a glimpse of the vitality from the change of time.Think about life,memory and time.
