Exploration On Color Expression Of Rock Color Figure Painting

Rock color painting was proposed by a group of Chinese students who went to Japan to study Japanese painting.After various controversies and reflections,it was named "rock color painting" in 1996.After inheriting the Chinese Dunhuang frescoes,Kizil frescoes and tang Dynasty paintings,Japanese paintings combined with local culture presented a unique color expression and aesthetic taste.After the rock painting technique was introduced into China,it gradually formed its own painting language and style after more than 20 years of development.This paper first studies the color language characteristics of traditional rock color paintings and compares and analyzes the color expression in rock color figure paintings by different Artists in China and Japan.Secondly,The material property of rock color material itself has unique color expression.Artists need to master the language elements of rock color painting,understand the theoretical knowledge of color,and skillfully use the methods of color configuration,color ideographic method,extraction and transfer practice in their own creation practice.So that individuals in the creation of rock color figure painting can continue rock color painting techniques and the use of rock color painting unique color expression,showing the spirit of eastern culture,while adapting to the contemporary aesthetic.
