Peter Handke is a representative writer of German literature. So far,he has written more than forty novels and a large number of poems, essays and travelogues. He is known as "a living classic of German literature".His early works such as "Bumblebee" and "Salesman" have obvious personal styles, and breakthroughs in narrative innovation are obvious, with obvious "Handke style".This paper takes the related research on narratology as a theoretical tool, summarizes the narrative characteristics of his early representative works, and analyzes how he broke through the existing narrative rules and established a highly recognizable personal writing style. The paper will be divided into four parts. The first part discusses the characteristics of plot construction in Handke’s early works.Handke’s novel plot construction method can be said to be unique. The constant use of repetition, collage and distorted design makes his early articles appear subversive and fuzzy. This part of the content mainly analyzes Han from the perspective of plot structure and sequence. The art of plot construction in Handke’s novels, and the construction methods used in the text are discussed one by one,and their functions are analyzed. The second part aims to explore Peter Handke’s unique skills in creating characters. This chapter is mainly supported by the existing narratological character theory, combined with the characteristics of the characters, analyzes the artistic characteristics of the characters in Handke’s works in terms of psychological activities, character discourse, etc. The third part is based on the narrative communication model of Booth,Chatman and others as the main theoretical basis, and focuses on the discussion of the identity of the "narrator" in the text, and distinguishes how the author uses narrators with different identities to design layers. The overlapping story structure and the intentional arrangement of factual conflicts make the whole article look like a "labyrinth".The fourth part focuses on the creation of the narrative time and space of novels, basically starting with the three major concepts of "sequence","order" and "frequency" put forward by classical narratology as the main entry points to analyze the novel in terms of discourse time and story time.
