| The state of higher education is a key indicator of the development level and potential of a country,and the United States,as a higher education powerhouse,has a great education system in the world today.In the book Locus of Authority: The Evolution of Faculty Roles in the Governance of Higher Education,the author discusses the development of higher education and the reform and innovation of the traditional model in the United States,from which our universities can take the essence and remove the dross,based on our own conditions,and continue to grow the national education.Focusing on the chapter 4 and chapter 5 of Locus of Authority: The Evolution of Faculty Roles in the Governance of Higher Education,the translation practice project mainly researched and discussed the translation from the Linguistic Dimension,Cultural dimension and Communicative Dimension of Eco-translatology,led by the translator,selecting specific examples in the three dimensions of translation practice,and using corresponding translation methods,such as lexical conversion,additional translation,interpretation translation and deconstruction translation,to make adaptive choices and conversions,break the communication barriers between two languages,analyze the differences between two different cultures,and realize the harmony of the original language in the ecological environment of the target language,so that the translation can be accepted and resonated by readers in our culture and show them the most appropriate world with its own ecosystem.Through this translation practice,the translator has gained a deeper understanding and knowledge of Eco-translatology Theory and the principle of three-dimensional conversion,and also summed up how to apply practical translation methods when facing such texts in order to solve the specific difficulties in translation,with a view to providing new theoretical ideas for the translation research of information-based texts and providing some references for the translation practice in this field.At the same time,we hope to draw on the successful experience of the United States in building a world center of higher education to enlighten China and gradually explore a path of educational development that is in line with the national conditions. |
