| Su Lingzhi,a local calligrapher in the mid-Tang Dynasty and a representative calligrapher in Hebei, promoted the development and practical application of calligraphy, and achieved considerable development in practice. He has been active in the vicinity of Hebei for a long time.Although he has not held high official positions,he has left a lot of inscription art for the local area.He experienced the Anshi Rebellion in his later adulthood, and there was no trace of it,which made the record of him in various documents and historical materials very limited.Fortunately, his stele has survived the vicissitudes of life in several inscriptions for reference. The content of the remaining Jitong stone inscriptions is roughly about the three aspects of imperial edicts, historical events and biographies. It shows that its calligraphy was recognized and praised by local officials and people at that time, and it also contributed to the dissemination and promotion of calligraphy. It has played an important role and has a certain position in the history of calligraphy. The thesis divides the existing stone inscriptions according to the order of time through the historical records of the five-pass stone inscriptions and field investigations, and tabulates the erection time and the existing address of the stone inscriptions.Analyze the calligraphy characteristics of each inscription on the calligraphy on the stone tablet, and have a comprehensive and objective understanding and evaluation of Su Lingzhi’s existing stone carving art style. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter sorts out the relevant historical materials of Su Lingzhi’s existing and recorded inscriptions, analyzes the authenticity of the materials and the evaluation of this person’s book in the past. The second chapter is divided into five sections, including "Tang Ming Emperor Yu Zhu Yixian Daodejing Building","Iron Statue Stele","Tian Wan Dezheng Stele","Dream True Rong Stele",and "Ode to the Pagoda of Minzhong Temple".According to the order of the standing stone, the stone stele analyzes the artistic characteristics of Wutong stele calligraphy from the three points of brushwork, knot and composition, and then summarizes its artistic style according to its calligraphic characteristics. The third chapter is divided into two parts: The first part describes the history of writing the script into the stele.Because Su Lingzhi was in the middle of the Tang Dynasty during the reign of the Kaiyuan,he was active in thought, economically developed, and the people’s life was prosperous, and the existing stele works are all based on The calligraphy of running script is presented, and its calligraphy is exactly in line with the writing form of running script into the stele,so the calligraphy of Su Lingzhi is studied in the form of running script into the stele;the second part shows the two characteristics of Su Lingzhi. The unique works of time are analyzed and discussed with the representative works of two calligraphers of the same time, and the "Song of the Iron Image Stele" is compared with "Lushan Temple Stele","Mengzhenrong Stele" and "Jiwangzi Shengjiao Preface" respectively.Compare the similarities and differences in their methods and styles, and restore them to the society at that time, and do a detailed study of Su Lingzhi’s book stele art style. The fourth chapter discusses the influence and significance of Su Lingzhi’s calligraphy on later generations, and summarizes Su Lingzhi’s historical value. The research results of the thesis have two aspects: 1.From the perspective of Su Lingzhi’s own development, analyze the characteristics of calligraphy and the changes in artistic style.2.Explain the sociality and social status of his calligraphy art style from the external perspective of social development. |
