Pure fifth composite harmony is born in the Chinese harmony system and is a branch of the development of the Chinese nationalized harmony system.The study of Chinese harmony techniques is a huge subject,and the Chinese harmony system has been gradually established in the research of many theorists such as Fan Zuyin,Li Yinghai and Sang Tong,but the creation is a process of continuous innovation and development,and the composer is also constantly trying and exploring.Since the1930 s,pure fifth composite harmony can be vaguely found in some composers’ works.It may be used unconsciously,but it has been used and explored all the time.It was not until 2013 that harmony techniques such as "pure fifth compound harmony" were clearly proposed.The piano suite of The Voice Chinese character "heart" composed by Wei Yang is a piano suite which clearly uses pure fifth compound harmony and is composed for the main harmonic technique.The author intends to explore the technique of pure fifth degree compound harmony in the piano suite of Wei Yang’s Chinese character "heart".This paper consists of seven parts,from the horizontal dimension of the historical development of pure fifth composite harmony,from the vertical dimension of the pure fifth composite harmony of all aspects of the technical analysis.The first part is about the evolution and development of pure fifth degree compound harmony.This chapter mainly introduces the development process of harmony,as well as the development process of pure fifth composite harmony.With the works of Jiang Wenye,Ma Sicong,Li Yinghai and Jin Xiang as representatives,it briefly introduces the forms of pure fifth composite harmony techniques appearing in the works of different composers.The second part is longitudinal harmonic thinking.This chapter mainly introduces the basic form of pure fifth compound harmony by means of longitudinal harmonic thinking.The third part is the type of pure fifth compound harmonic structure.This chapter mainly divides the pure fifth compound chords into three categories:pentatonic pure fifth compound,heptonic pure fifth compound and modern pure fifth compound.From these three aspects,the structure of pure fifth compound harmony is further explored.The fourth part is about the connection and arrangement of pure fifth compound harmony.This chapter mainly includes three aspects: the connection method,the arrangement method and the harmony order of the pure fifth compound harmony.The fifth part,pure pentathlon texture morphology.This chapter mainly studies the texture morphology of pure fifth composite harmony in music,and explores the texture morphology of pure fifth composite harmony from three aspects: columnar,decomposed and polyphonic texture.The sixth part is the application of pure fifth compound harmony.Based on three categories of pure fifth compound harmony,this paper explores how to use pure fifth compound harmony in works.The seventh part is the morphology of the pure fifth compound in the structure.In this paper,the structure and harmonic distribution of twelve pieces of the piano suite the voice of the Chinese character “heart”are further analyzed in detail.
