Research On The Experience Of Nostalgic Space From The Perspective Of Urban Memory

With the upsurge of modernization development,urban renewal and urban construction have become an irresistible trend of urban development.However,every urban development is faced with the problems of spatial development and urban memory loss caused by "new city construction" and "old city reconstruction".However,the rapid change of times and the accelerated pace of urban life also make urban people increasingly yearn for the slow pace of life style.Combined with the uncertainty of the reality and the future,they are in an anxiety of lack of security and sense of local identity.In order to compensate for this anxiety,people often turn to nostalgia and reconstruction of good things to comfort their soul.Therefore,"nostalgia" has become a kind of cultural transformation method that can be chosen for urban renewal.The city is a place haunted by nostalgia.In the process of continuous development of the city,new memories are constantly generated and continued.The inheritance and continuation of memory need carriers.Nostalgia is closely connected with space and place.Research on the experience of urban nostalgic space not only contributes to the awakening and continuation of urban memory,but also enables a city to catch up with culture in the complex evolutionary process,so as to highlight the local traditional characteristics.In the reading of vast amount of literature on the basis of this study,with nostalgia spatial experience as the theme,related concepts,found nostalgia is close to city memory,local identity,and through the related concepts and theoretical basis of connotation and denotation of exploration,nostalgic space under the city memory perspective is constructed experience research framework formation,as the theoretical research framework of this study.This study selected 1192 Old Shanghai Style Street as a case,using the network text analysis,interviews and qualitative research methods of theme analysis,and mathematical statistics analysis method to strengthen tourist place identity parts for inspection,survey 1192 lane as a nostalgic space composition and the content of the tourists experience type,explore the nostalgic space place identity of city function,the mechanism for the formation of nostalgic spatial experience.The full text is divided into three parts.The first part is the first chapter to the third chapter of this paper.The first chapter discusses the research background,domestic and foreign research review and research significance of this research.The second chapter clarifies the relevant concepts and research design,including the selection of case sites,research objectives,theoretical framework,research methods and technical routes;The third chapter is the data processing and analysis part of this study,which respectively shows the process of data processing with three different data acquisition methods.The second part is the fourth and fifth chapters of this paper,which is the main data analysis process of this research.The fourth chapter analyzes the experience content of urban nostalgic space according to the qualitative data,from three aspects:nostalgic experience source,nostalgic experience environment and nostalgic experience type.The fifth chapter,according to the content and theoretical framework of the fourth chapter,analyzes the formation process of nostalgic space experience,establishes a model of the influence of nostalgic experience content and urban local identity,and tests it through questionnaire data.The third part is the sixth chapter,which is the conclusion and prospect of this study.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows :(1)Two environments and three experiences constitute the main contents of nostalgic space experience.(2)The nostalgic space experience strengthens the local identity of tourists.(3)The forming mechanism of nostalgic space experience is as follows:(1)The subjects of urban memory construct environment,landscape and culture through urban memory,and form nostalgic space;(2)nostalgic space publicity,perception and interaction awaken memory and nostalgic complex;(3)The nostalgic space experience content has a positive effect on the place identity,which strengthens the tourists’ cognition,emotion and intention.In the end,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the improvement of nostalgic space experience,the lack of research and the direction of future research.
