Investigation And Study Of Zhuyuangou Turquoise Mining Site In Lushi County Henan Province

Zhuyuangou turquoise mining site is located near the cultural area of the Central Plains,through the investigation and study of Zhuyuangou turquoise mining site,the collection of turquoise ore,and through the scientific and technological means of Zhuyuangou turquoise lithofacies and trace elements analysis,to obtain the mineral characteristics of Zhuyuangou turquoise.The characteristic elements of Zhuyuangou turquoise are compared with those of the turquoise ware in the central Plains cultural area in order to obtain the mineral source of precious stones and exchange transportation routes.The mineral characteristics of Zhuyuangou turquoise are the basis of the research,and the mineral basic characteristics of Zhuyuangou turquoise are studied systematically through various scientific and technological means.Through analysis:Zhuyuangou turquoise green,blue soil-like luster.Turquoise ore is often flake,slate and tuberculous aggregate production.Turquoise crystals are mostly scaly,short columnar.Turquoise impurities can be seen in quartz,feldspar,mica,etc.,surrounding rock with variable argillaceous,variable argillaceous structure.By comparing the theoretical value of turquoise with the main element,it is found that the content of Cu O in Zhuyuangou turquoise is lower than the theoretical value,the content of Al₂O₃ is slightly lower than the theoretical value,the content of P₂O₅ is about the same as the experimental value,and a small part of Al³⁺and Fe³⁺have homogeneous substitution.The development of turquoise ware in the Central Plains developed from Erlitou culture period to Yinxu culture and the spring and Autumn and Warring States Period.The study of the mineral source of turquoise in the prosperous period plays an important role in understanding the transportation channels of the ancestors.By comparing and analyzing the elements of turquoise ore and turquoise relics,it is found that the content of Zn O in the main element of Zhuyuangou is less than 0.1%,and that of Erlitou culture is around 1%.Through data comparison and analysis of trace elements,it is found that Zhuyuangou and Erlitou are not in the same area.The analysis of the collected turquoise ore shows that the turquoise produced in Zhuyuangou mine may not provide the ore source support for Erlitou.Cultural exchanges between Erlitou and Guaiyu are also up for debate.However,there did exist an ancient turquoise mine in Guaiyu,which provided data support for the later research of scholars.
