The Ma’an Site is located in the middle of Shimen County,Changde City,Hunan Province,on the first-level platform on the right bank of the Lishui tributary, and 16 kilometers east of the Zaoshi Site. From April to July 2006,in order to cooperate with the construction of the Shimenzao City Reservoir, the Hunan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology conducted archaeological excavations on the Saddle site and excavated 92 Shang Dynasty relics including ash pits, ash ditches, trenches, tombs, and kiln sites.,Acquired a large number of pottery, and a small number of stone tools and bronzes, which provided new materials for archeological research on Shang culture in the Lishui Valley. This article briefly introduces the excavation of Shang dynasty remains. It mainly uses archeological stratigraphy, typology, and cultural factor analysis to analyze the typical stratigraphic units and pottery specimens of the site, and discusses the cultural characteristics and specific eras of the Shang dynasty remains.,Cultural factors and other aspects, discussed the relationship between the Shang dynasty remains in the Lishui River Basin and the cultural relationship between neighboring areas, and finally discussed the settlement layout and nature of the site. The Shang dynasty remains at the Ma’an site were in the early and middle Yin Ruins.By comparing with the artifacts unearthed from the Shang dynasty sites in the surrounding area,it is believed that the Shang dynasty remains at the Ma’an site are relatively simple, including only local cultural factors and local innovative factors, which are completely absent.Cultural factors artifacts. This article believes that there is a certain plan for the settlement layout of the ruins. The two trenches separate the site and the tomb area, which is the first discovery in the Lishui River Basin. The Ma’an site has a special geographical location and should be an affiliated settlement of the Zaoshi site.
