| Our society is under rapid development nowadays,diverse artistic forms present diverse humanistic connotations.At the critical stage of economic restructuring,our country demands the support of cultural soft power as well as enhancing its comprehensive national power.Documentary as a media communication art form,with character documentaries as a branch,the core content is the selection of characters.In its creation process,it needs to follow the documentary guidelines of‘building on truth’,and at the same time,it also needs to add a certain narrative to enrich the content.Since the new phase,in order to promote traditional Chinese culture and awaken the consciousness of artisans in the hearts of the public,the image of ‘craftsman’ in character documentaries has appeared frequently in audiences` vision.This article focuses on craftsmen as the main research object,based on the perspective of character narration,conducted narrative researches on the image of craftsmen in new phase documentary films from 1978,thus,to provide a certain theoretical contribution 、 eferential meaning to theoretical and practical filed of character documentary.Through the related theoretical and practical creation around the thesis.There are six parts of theoretical research,it starting from combing the concepts of character documentaries and craftsman images,combining a large number of successful cases of craftsman image-building and narrative methods in character documentaries in the new phase,closely related to the central thesis,and conducting generalization and Comparison.First of all,chapters start from the introduction,and the coming chapter mainly organizes and studies the concept of character documentary and the concept of the craftsman image.The third chapter focus on the character documentary in the new phase,explores the narrative characteristics of the craftsman image from the direction,including the selection of the characters,the use of filming techniques,and the construction of the plot narrative.After that,personal work "Shouyi·Successor",was combined in the fourth chapter,along with the narrative strategy around the craftsman image in the new phase,analyzing seriatim through narrative perspective,narrative content and narrative rhythm.The fifth chapter analyzes the narrative value of the craftsman image in character documentary film in the new phase,highlights the significance of the craftsman image narrative,and attempts at analyzing the future development path.The final chapter mainly explains the creative practice of the personal work "Shouyi·Successor",and is also an effective testimony to the results of the article research.Through this practical creation,it provides reference materials for other creators who aim to convey the narrative research of the craftsman image through the character documentary. |
