A Study On The Material Selection Of Middle-aged And Old People’s Dance Creation

According to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics in 2019,by the end of2019,the total number of elderly people in China accounted for 18.1% of the total number of the country,China has developed into the world’s largest degree of aging and the number of elderly country.A large number of middle-aged and elderly people participate in dance activities to enrich their later life,but lack of relatively professional theoretical support in the work editing and creation.Therefore,the research object of this paper is the research on the material selection of middle-aged and elderly dance creation.The author discusses this topic with the interview method of visiting and investigation and the case analysis method of analysis and discussion as the main research methods,and analyzes and studies this topic through the creation process of his self-compiled work "Starting Again".The main purpose of this thesis is to further develop the social function of dance,improve the artistic aesthetics of middle-aged and old people and improve the quality of life of middle-aged and old people.Nowadays,China is vigorously promoting the construction of a harmonious society,advocating the development of mass literature and promoting it to the whole society.Therefore,creating dance works suitable for the middle-aged and elderly people has become a problem worth exploring for choreographers.
