Study On The Application Of Ji’nan Spring Culture Theme In Illustration Design

Benefiting from the Spring,Jinan,honored as a "City of Springs",thrives and thus becomes a famous historical and cultural city.Spring is a natural gift and the flavor for Jinan,as well as the pride of the people there.Under the breeding of spring water and the nourishment of humanistic quality,Jinan Spring Culture generates,develops and finally shines brightly.Jinan Spring Culture is not only a local cultural logo,but also a cultural visiting card to help the people around the world to understand and love this cityUnder the background of the new era,Jinan Spring Culture not only should be inherited,but also need to be spread,promoted and innovated by utilizing the media.For the current status of Jinan Spring Culture,people’s comprehension and developed/utilized degree on Jinan Spring Culture are not enough,bringing the crisis and challenge for the inheritance and development of Jinan Spring Culture.The emergence of illustration design has enriched the expression form of visual art.The combination between it and Jinan Spring Culture can efficiently arouse the resonance of the audience and promote their communication owing to its strong visual impact,fast information transmission speed,strong appeal and other characteristics.Moreover,after investigation and research,it is found that the research on combining Jinan Spring Culture with illustration design is still weak in both theory and practice.Because of above-mentioned issues,the author chose the Jinan Spring Culture theme as the research object,trying to combine Jinan Springs Culture with illustration design.Such illustration design would integrate Jinan spring culture,not only helping the audience understand the Jinan Spring Culture more comprehensively and fully,but also promoting the inheritance,development and external transmission dynamics of the Jinan Spring Culture.In this thesis,the deep cultural connotation and rich cultural resources of Jinan Springs Culture were explored via the intensive collection of information related with the Jinan Springs Culture,such as books and literatures,while the illustration design and corresponding development status were investigated,aiming at finding the joint point between Jinan Springs Culture and illustration design.By utilizing the relevant theoretical system from the aspects of element,color,composition,the creation theory method was studied,highlighting the value of the combination of Jinan Spring Culture and illustration design.At the same time,the practical application of illustration design upon the Jinan Spring Culture theme was carried out,using the form of illustration creation to express Jinan Spring Culture and trying to make practical contributions to the inheritance and development of Jinan Spring Culture.
