Study On Cloud Water Method In Landscape Painting Of Song Dynasty

Song Dynasty is the peak of the development of landscape painting in the history of Chinese painting.At this time,the cloud and water in landscape painting have rich meanings and unique forms,which are the symbols of "blood" and "spirit" of landscape painting.As one of the important elements in traditional Chinese painting,Cloud water has rich and colorful forms of expression.It is a painting language for painters to observe and express the clouds and water flow in nature.With the development of history,the aesthetic taste of Cloud water method in the picture is constantly changing.From the pictographic lines on the oracle bone inscriptions to the Taoist imagery in the Wei and Jin narratives,the literati thought about nature.From the pursuit of change and lifelike transfer to the creation of Xinyuanshi,and then to the rise and innovation of the "retro style".With the help of the understanding of the clouds and rain in nature,the painter explores the innovation of painting,faces life and conveys himself.Wang Shen’s coloring of the picture of Yanjiang mountains breaks the rules boldly in the composition of the picture,making Cloud water occupy nearly two-thirds of the whole picture area,creating a picture of misty Yanjiang River,surrounded by clouds,living together with reality and full of charm.In terms of color setting,Wang Shen combines the characteristics of the academy and literati painting schools,and his personal creation,the organic integration of color and ink,and the screen is gorgeous,fresh and flexible.Combined with Su Shi’s poetry and painting,Cloud water is personified,and there are more poems outside the picture.It can be said that the application of the cloud water method in Wang Shen’s painting "Yanjiangdiezhangtu" plays an important role in the development history of landscape painting.Cloud water is the essence and verve of the painting;it is the smoke,cloud and water represented by itself;it is the virtual environment,but it is also virtual and real;it is the means ofcreating the environment,and it is also the context of the brush and ink.The purpose of this paper is to explore the function and concrete performance of the cloud water method in the spatial treatment of the landscape painting,the composition of the pattern,the painter’s intention and so on through the in-depth study of the cloud water method in Wang Shen’s "Yanjiangdiezhangtu".In order to explore the value connotation of Cloud water method in the context of modern painting.The study of the application of the cloud water method in Wang Shen’s "Yanjiangdiezhangtu" in Song Dynasty is helpful to understand the aesthetic interest of Chinese landscape painting and to explore the diversity of Chinese painting system.
