The Value Of Folk Photography In The Protection Of Intangible Cultural Heritage

Folklore photography,as a category of photography with academic,authentic,and artistic features,can faithfully represent and record the development of intangible culture.It has an irreplaceable role in recording the cultural characteristics,living customs,and social development of different ethnic groups at different historical stages.It has an extremely high value in literature,historical data collection,and academic research.Today,as the protection of intangible cultural heritage is in full swing,we should make full use of our rich intangible cultural heritage resources to create more and better photographic works.Intangible cultural heritage is an important symbol of the historical and cultural achievements of a country and a nation.China is vigorously developing cultural industries.Therefore,the protection and dissemination of intangible cultural heritage is of great significance for expanding the international influence of Chinese culture and enhancing the country’s cultural soft power.This article studies folklore photography and intangible cultural heritage-related theories.integrates folklore photography into the protection of intangible cultural heritage and strives to create folklore photographs with distinctive cultural characteristics,which plays a significant role in the dissemination and rescue of intangible cultural heritage.The author first studied the general situation and development of folk photography,and then summarized the relationship between folk photography and intangible cultural heritage attributes.Secondly,by showing the value manifestation of folklore photography through the protection of intangible cultural heritage,and summarizing and analyzing the existing folklore photography,the author discovered multiple ways of protecting intangible cultural heritage by folk photography,which provided sufficient theoretical support for subsequent practice.Finally,the author integrated the Dai festival culture into folklore photography creation and applied photographic works to the corresponding visual design.Not only created high-quality folklore photographic works,but also enriched and expanded the platform for the festival culture of the Dai people.It also better protects the intangible cultural heritage of the Dai people.
