Study On Discourse Markers Of "P+X+Au" Structure

Discourse markers are a common form of expression in discourse and play an important role in verbal communication.The P+X+Au discourse marker is a rich structure.The diversity and complexity of forms also make it asymmetric in many aspects,rarely appearing at the end of sentences in syntactic distribution,and having obvious selection tendency in composition combination.There are many factors causing this asymmetry,mainly from semantic and pragmatic aspects.The pragmatic function of P+X+Au discourse markers is embodied in the discourse function and interpersonal function.The discourse function is examined from the two aspects of form and content,mainly in the aspect of coherence.From the aspect of form,it is shown as the control ability of dialogue wheel,and from the aspect of content,it is shown as the adjustment function of topic.Interpersonal functions are abundant,mainly including suggestion function,evaluation function,euphemism function,evidentiality function,inference function,highlight function.The evolution process and its generation mechanism are also an important aspect of the study.The evolution of prepositions and postpositions is specifically investigated to grasp the development and change of the framework structure.Prepositions have various forms but show certain regularity in the evolution,with competition and influence.The process of grammaticalization of postpositions is relatively slow.Most of the postpositions are still in the process of grammaticalization.Different types of postpositions have their own characteristics in the speed and time of grammaticalization.The emergence of prepositional framework is closely related to the grammaticalization of postpositions.Finally,the paper analyzes the generation mechanism of P+X+Au discourse markers from the three levels of syntax,semantics and pragmatics: syntax mechanism is grammaticalization,semantic mechanism is semantic grammaticalization and emergence of meaning,and pragmatic mechanism is subjectivization and interactive subjectivization.
