During centuries,art works especially the sculptures were playing as the characters in the dramas of the memories.Generally the art work carrying the memory of its artist.However,nowadays the art creations frequently appeared in lack subjectivity.Originally,‘Death of the Author’ is a concept in literary theory.In 1967,A French critic,Roland Barthes published his article,Death of The Author.As its title,Barthes manifested that the Author was Died,arguing that the text is an multiple-dimension space,these multiplicities are converging on one target,the Readers,using the death of the author to trade the readers’ birth.It also leads a bunch of questions: Does the author really can be killed? How? Can we have better understanding without thinking about artist’s intention? If the artist himself declare‘Death of the Author’,is it a way to avoid from responsibility? In this article,I will discuss about the phenomenonof‘Death of the Author’ in art creations,basing on literature research also combing with my experiences of working on art,exhibitions and critique activities.
