The Transformation From "Modern" Female To "Progressive" Female

In the 1930 s,Chinese society was facing a sharp transformation and transformation,and various forces entered the stage of history.All forces tried to use film media as a favourable weapon to publicize their ideas,and continuously strengthened the political attribute of films.At the same time,China was in a period of internal and external troubles.Under the joint influence and promotion of "emerging film movement" and "left-wing filmmakers",Denton film company(Diantong)was founded in Shanghai in1934.Although the existence of Denton film company(Diantong)is less than two years,only four films produced,but in each official revision of film history books,early film newspapers,newspapers can find some clues,its position in the history of Chinese film is self-evident.Since Yan Shanshan,the first Chinese actress,appeared on the screen,female images have become increasingly complex and colourful in subsequent films,and have long been the focus of film historians and critics.In the Chinese film was born more than a hundred years long river,the female stars of Denton film company undoubtedly became the most dazzling part,such as Chen Boer,Wang Ying,they are not only on the screen of the "dazzling pearl",ten miles in the foreign market "modern girl",but also the wind and the clouds in the transformation of society "witness".They stepped off the colourful screen stage and ran to the front line of the war of resistance against Japan,writing a new chapter of national liberation,women’s independence.This article used the feminist film theory,combining with the method of film history,relying on the electric flux film company production of a film with Denton(Diantong)(Half Moon Pictorial)(after this referred to as pictorial).Through earlier newspaper supplement,such as Central Daily,Ta-Kung Daily and Shun Pao,et al.,and looked at the early films magazine,such as the film and the play,the movie,movie yearbook,et al.,also looked at the women s published journals,such as exquisite and women’s lives.This research hopes to find out from many historical materials that the female stars of the 1930 s made significant contributions to national liberation and their independence.At the same time,through the sorting out of Denton film company and pictorial,I hope this article contributes to the research of early Chinese film companies.Up to now,Chinese films have occupied a place in the world film,but we always need to remember the difficult journey of early Chinese filmmakers in the era of changing and war.
