| As a new kind of art,film is a comprehensive art which perfectly integrates picture and sound,time and space.In its narrative process,it has not only time dimension,but also space dimension.Based on the theory of spatial narratology,this paper takes the representative films of Hong Kong cops-and-robbers moviein the 1980 s as the research text to explore how Hong Kong Cops-and-robbers movie narrate through space.This paper analyzes the construction of symbolic space and the relationship between narrative techniques and film space,and explains the cultural significance behind the evolution of space in police bandit films.The text consists of three parts.The first part is the exploration of the geographical and spiritual space in Hong Kong Cops-and-robbers movie.As far as the geographical space is concerned,local architectural spaces such as Tang Lou,tea restaurant,elevator and rooftop,as well as cross street and narrow lane are not only the geographical environment signs of Hong Kong people’s life,but also the classic signs of Hong Kong Cops-and-robbers movie.In the study of the construction of the spiritual space,the hidden spiritual predicament of Hong Kong Society and the mental state of Hong Kong people in the modern society are reflected in three aspects: the identity exploration in the complex background,the spiritual distress in the difficult environment and the self redemption in the repressive space.The second part is based on the spatial narrative techniques of Hong Kong Cops-and-robbers movie,which are discussed through the interpretation of specific film texts The third part is to explain the culture reflected in the space evolution of Hong Kong Cops-and-robbers movie.On the one hand,focusing on "hero film series" and "Infernal Affairs series",this paper discusses the rich connotation of morality and Identity Culture in the Jianghu.On the other hand,starting from the space evolution in the film,it can be seen that Hong Kong Police and bandit film pursues the integration of localization and globalization in the place,and the desire and pursuit of "home" in the communication with the mainland are increasingly strong.Finally,the integration of Hong Kong Style humanistic concept and mainstream culture,as well as the continuity and innovation of action features in the film,all reflect the new cultural outlook of Hong Kong Cops-and-robbers movie.Through combing the Hong Kong Cops-and-robbers movie in the 1980 s,this paper studies the space reflected in them from the narrative point of view,combines the narrative,spatial construction and expressive force of the films,realizes the image spatial characteristics constructed by the Hong Kong Cops-and-robbers movie in the specific era and cultural background,and excavates the profound cultural connotation behind them. |
