Nowadays,thanks to the improvement of global economy,tourism has become the most popular form of entertainment.At the same time,tourism APP emerges as the times requirewith the rapid development of mobile network technology.Many Chinese tourism companies have launched the English tourism APPs.However,by means of experiencing the main domestic English tourism APPs,such as Ctrip and Qunar,we find that English tourism APPs still have a big room for improvement.There are some problems in the English version,including spelling and grammatical errors,unidiomatic translation,wordy translation and cultural misinterpretation.Based on Skopos Theory,this paper finds it is necessary to follow user-centered idea,adhere to the principle of "purpose" and"interlingual differences between Chinese and English",and make the translation conform to the reading habits of foreign tourists.Only in this way could English tourism APPs develop its function of information transmission and appealing.Translation strategies depend on the purpose of translation.Translators need adopt proper translation strategies which are for English readers when they translate,because the purpose of English tourism APPs is to attract foreign visitors.Therefore,this paper improves the translation of tourism APPs with translation strategies of free translation,domesticating translation and communicative translation to attract foreign visitors better.
