With the deepening of the research in the field of creativity,the creativity research is no longer rest on theoretical side.How to improve the creativity has become a topic of concern,and the application of creative techniques has become more and more concerned by scholars.This study is devoted to discuss the effect of the reverse thinking method on the creative output of College Students’ thinking and the validity and applicability of the reverse thinking method in different experimental situations.In this study,the dependent variable is the three dimensions of the fluency,originality and flexibility.In this paper,choose several hundred students of Soochow University as subjects,with the reverse thinking method related to the experimental study.In the first Experiment,a single factor experiment was designed to explore whether the reverse thinking method is effective to improve the creative output of the subjects.114 college students were selected and randomly assigned to learning skills and learning skills.The results of the experimental data analysis showed that the creative output of the students in the study group was significantly higher than that in control group in the three dimensions of fluency,originality and flexibility.It can be concluded that the effectiveness of the reverse thinking method,and then start the second experiment.In the second Experiment,on the basis of experiment one,two factors which the group status and task difficulty were added to it,and then 360 college students were recruited and randomly assigned to each experiment treatment.It adopted the between-subjects design of 2(with a technique / no technique)*2(nominal group /interactive group)*3(high difficulty / medium difficulty / low difficulty),to explore the effects of reverse thinking method on the creative output of subjects under different group states and task difficulty.The results of the experiment showed that the learning reverse thinking method and the different group states and task difficulty has an interactive effect on the creative output.The results of two experiments are analyzed that:1.Under the condition of reverse thinking,the individual’s creative output is higher than that of the non learning skill group in the quantity,the rarity and the flexibility of the viewpoint.That is to say,when the subject is engaged in the creative experiment,the converse thinking method is helpful to improve the creative output.2.The creative output of the nominal group is significantly higher than that of the interactive group in the three dimensions of the fluency,originality and flexibility under the condition of interactive group.In addition to the low level of difficulty in learning techniques,the nominal group is more conducive to solving problems by using reverse thinking.3.In the high difficult and medium difficult task level,the creative output of the subjects is more rare and flexible.4.Relatively speaking,in the nominal group state,in the face of the medium difficulty task,learning to solve the problem with the reverse thinking method,is more conducive to improve the creative view of the rarity.
