These years,foreign language(especially English)teaching researches have been reformed gradually to improve the teaching quality.With the rapid development of the world economy,communication is becoming more frequently between countries.It’s no doubt that the English language will be used more and more widely.Its importance has appeared in the big environment of the intense international competition.In the English classroom teaching,teaching methods,teaching ideas and teaching skills play important roles in promoting the quality of the English teaching reform.However,in most rural schools,because of the limitation of teaching equipment and methods,students’ English learning interest and motivation have been affected.Therefore teaching research has paid great attention to the important function of non-intelligent factors,and especially the field of learners’ English learning motivation.In fact,Motivation-language learning motivation is an important factor in the second language acquisition researches.Most linguists believe that learning motivation is one of the key factors,which may decide whether the learner can succeed in his/her acquisition of the second language.The second language learning performance is influenced by the internal and external factors of the language.Supposedly,the learner’s learning motivation directly affects his/her learning behavior and effects.The learner’s active and enthusiastic learning motivation will create a good learning psychology while the learner’s negative and passive learning motivation will badly affect his/her learning potential and limit his/her language learning activities.Obviously,good learning motivation is the basic guarantee of any learning task.It is the prerequisite for the second language learners to master a foreign language.But how to improve the rural junior school students’ learning motivation?How to develop their active learning factors?Can learning motivation be improved?Is it by external stimuli or internal cognitive tactics?Although much research has been done in this field by many researchers,there are still many different opinions in this field.In my opinion,the most relevant studies are too theoretical,not closely connected with the actual English teaching practices.The author thinks that it is necessary to conduct a systematic research and worked out some practical foreign language learning motivation strategies oriented to the junior school students.Facing to the rural junior school students,the essay briefly shows the result from the researches by domestic and foreign experts in terms of the second-language learning motivation.And based on the author’s teaching experience,I design the survey about the learning motivation for students and teachers.According to the data of the survey,I put forward feasible suggestions and effective training strategies to extense the learners’study-motivation in their English learning.The research has been conducted on the basic of the actual situation of the junior school foreign language learning motivation and attempts to find out some useful teaching tactics.Firstly,a certain amount of questionnaires and relevant data are used to survey the fact.Then Pearson dual variable correlation is used to analyze the collected data.The research indicates that the learner’s study motivation plays a decisive role in his/her success of foreign-language acquisition.The author attempts a conclusion about the research and some suggestions to deal with the relative problems.It must be pointed out that there is still a lot of deficiency in the research.More studies are needed to testify the reliability of the conclusion in terms of the correlation of the learner’s motivation and his/her academic performance.
