Service value of grassland ecosystem is important and it is regarded as an important proxy to make a practicable plan for utilizing grassland,which is advantageous to popularize the values of ecological assets and improve the public awareness of environmental protection.The service value of grassland ecosystem depends on the service function of grassland ecosystem,but their relationship is not linear,and this is because the calculation of grassland ecosystem service value varies with intermediate substances with changeable market price at different years.Small burrowing herbivores are one of the main biological disturbance factors of grassland.They change the service function of grassland ecosystem by changing the characteristics of soil and plant community.At present,it has been confirmed that the small burrowing herbivores disturbance can change the service function of grassland ecosystem in arid and semi-arid areas,but it is not clear whether the disturbance of small burrowing herbivores affect the service value of grassland ecosystem.Plateau pika(Ochotona curzoniae),a small endemic and common herbivore in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau,is also one of the important components of the alpine meadow ecosystem.This small herbivore disturbs alpine meadow ecosystem by feeding,covering soil,excreting,burrowing and clipping,further has impact on grassland ecological service function.Therefore,evaluating the effect of plateau pika disturbance on the ecosystem service value of alpine meadow can not only verify whether the disturbance of small burrowing herbivores affect the ecosystem service value of grassland,but also can improve the cognition of the relationship between the utilization of alpine meadow and plateau pika.This study took the alpine meadow on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau as example to investigate the effect of plateau pika disturbance on ecosystem service value of alpine meadow by using multi-point data.In this study,the provisioning service of forage availability,the regulating service of water conservation and carbon sequestration,the supporting service of biodiversity conservation and soil nutrient maintenance were used to indicate the ecosystem service value of alpine meadow.The value equivalent factor per unit area and service function price per unit area was used to select the suitable method for evaluating the effect of plateau pika disturbance on the ecosystem service value of alpine meadow,which can improve the research method of the effect of small rodent,reveal the role of plateau pika in the alpine meadow ecosystem,and provide basic information for the scientific management of plateau pika in alpine meadow ecosystem.The main conclusions are as follows:1.The effect of plateau pika disturbance on the service function of alpine meadow ecosystem is different with the different service function of alpine meadow ecosystemThe results of multi-point and single point data analysis showed that plateau pika disturbance had the general pattern on the provisioning service of forage availability supply,the regulating service of water conservation and carbon sequestration,the supporting service of biodiversity conservation and soil total potassium,The disturbance of plateau pika decreased the provisioning service of forage availability and regulating service of water conservation(P < 0.05);increased the regulating service of carbon sequestration and the supporting service of biodiversity conservation(P < 0.05),but the disturbance of plateau pika had no significant effect on the supporting service of soil potassium maintenance(P > 0.05).However,the disturbance of plateau pika was site-dependent on the supporting service of soil total nitrogen and total phosphorus in alpine meadow ecosystem.Therefore,the effect of plateau pika disturbance on the ecosystem service of alpine meadow varied with the different ecosystem services of alpine meadow.2.The value equivalent factor per unit area and service function price per unit area both converged and diverged in terms of how they evaluated the effect of plateau pika disturbance on the value of alpine meadow ecosystem services.This study found that the service function price per unit area was more suitable to reflect the effect of plateau pika disturbance on the former in terms of alpine meadow ecosystemsThe results of the value equivalent factor per unit area and service function price per unit area showed that plateau pika disturbance decreased the provisioning service value of forage availability and the regulating service value of water conservation(P< 0.05).However,there were differences between the two methods when evaluating the plateau pika disturbance on the regulating service value of carbon sequestration,the supporting service value of soil nutrient maintenance and biodiversity conservation.Using the value equivalent factor per unit area showed that plateau pika disturbance decreased the regulating service value of carbon sequestration,the supporting service value of soil nutrient maintenance and biodiversity conservation(P< 0.05);however,using the service function price per unit area showed that the same increased the regulating service value of carbon sequestration,the supporting service value of soil nutrient maintenance and biodiversity conservation(P < 0.05).Compared with the value equivalent factor per unit area,the service function price per unit area used the final or intermediate quality as the criterion,the evaluation results were more in line with the real situation,and it was more suitable to evaluate the effect of plateau pika disturbance on the ecosystem service value of alpine meadow.3.With the increase of plateau pika disturbance intensity,the change trend of alpine meadow ecosystem service value of different types was different.With the increase of plateau pika disturbance intensity,the provisioning service value of forage availability,the regulating service value of carbon sequestration and the supporting service value of soil nutrient maintenance first increased and then decreased;the regulating service value of water conservation decreased linearly as the plateau pika disturbance intensity increased;there was no significant correlation between the the supporting services of biodiversity conservation and the disturbance intensity of plateau pika.The disturbance intensity was 246(246 ± 133)burrow entrances per ha,the regulating service value of carbon sequestration and the supporting service value of soil nutrient maintenance increased significantly to reach the maximum value.
